Nope, Jaguar Land Rover have committed to building a battery plant in the UK, choosing Brexit Britain instead of Spain....
Thousands of jobs to be created.

It always made me laugh when Ford moved production to Turkey and then blamed Brexit!
And what was the other one recently that also moved outside of the EU and then blamed Brexit?

Peugeot Ryton shut down in the mid 2000s. Rover Longbridge too.
Historic factories shut down all over place.
Food factories too. Cadbury's Keynesham. H.P. Sauce.
We were lied to by the Europhiles then and they are still lying now.
Meanwhile the UK is recovering.
Jaguar Land Rover, are investing in the UK as are many others.

I'm no expert but the vibe I'm getting is that car manufacturers are confused. Thanks to all this net zero bollox they're unsure and who can blame them. Do they build electric cars that no one wants or can afford, or do they build diesel/petrol cars that people want (And in the long run are more environmental) but the government might tax off the road.
I'll tell you something, it's easy to see why Martin Brudermüller the CEO of BASF the biggest chemical company in the world decided to relocate from Germany to China. When the fuck are we going to wake up?

EU policies are shit, and they're made by a Commission that voters cannot sack.

On the other hand, JLR chose Slovakia rather than the UK to build the new Defender.
The plain truth is that the UK has simply no control over where foreign-owned companies choose to make their investments.

Dan, that's not true it's made in Solihull, Malaysia AND Slovakia.
But when we were in, divestment was common. The Mini Countryman is another car not produced in the UK and it was in production in Austria from 2010-2016 and the mk2 made in the Netherlands since 2017.
Membership of the EU wasn't working.

You will pay for it as well. It's your tax money diverted from hospitals and essential services to pay foreign firms (Indian like the PM) to stay in this shithole.

Better than the business going to fucking China... And the taxes paid by the workers here will make up for the difference.
I'd rather invest in the short term and not have to pay dole to those people.

I'd rather invest in the short term and not have to pay dole to those people. The business is already going to fucking China for your information. Whilst the UK's battery production crashes and burns (see British Volt) CATL increased their battery production/sales by 300% in one year. The reason for this is their technology is better. It is to do with range, size, cost of the battery and whether it blows up or not. CATL is a research-based company. Did you know for example that they are now working on bringing sodium batteries up to the same performance as lithium ion? Lithium prices have shot through the roof as demand increases, but sodium is everywhere. There are whole oceans full of it.
As for the Brits, all our firms do is talk shit. Here is what I mean. Investors don't like being stuffed by lies.

Britishvolt was a startup with no customers, which is why it failed.
But meanwhile, China is a dictatorship with no human rights. Put sanctions on it.
We don't need Chinese spy tech in our homes or cars.
