why not. If you believe talking about something on here counts as publishing then technically its already a law breach since publishing the fact a super injunction exists is also a no-no. In for a penny in for a pound I say. spill the beans From a personal view I’m not bothered I do know though several forums have in the past been threatened with legal action. Neither am I to be fair but since there isn't much in the way of political discussion on the forum, gossip discussion is at least something different to the leftie rightie drudgery

He’s publicly said in interview that the other man can speak out if he wishes and he’s not tried to silence or gag him with a court order. He has also said that the other person wants to remain silent and for this whole incident to go away. Obviously Schofield has broken his marital vows but there is no evidence of a crime as when the ‘affair’ happened, the claim is that the other party was 20/21. Now obviously none of us know the truth but this is why I hate trial by media because if that’s all he’s done (an affair), then he’s done nothing more than thousands of celebs before him and this doesn’t sit right with me, nor should it anyone else. Innocent until proven guilty. You are ignoring the fact that he has lied and lied and lied to cover up previous lies. Told different stories to his wife, to ITV and the press. It's the constant lying, but he reckons it's homophobia, which sounds like he's batting it all off with an ism allegation.

Keeping a private relationship private by keeping it secret either by lying or a lie of omission is not a crime surely. Personally I don't think cheating on one's wife is a good thing, but it happens everyday. Its none of anyone else's business really, and not something one should be losing their job over - unless they are a member of the clergy perhaps. What is being ignored.

That's why you don't get it then, Colbops. You are happy to excuse immorality. Of course, it is not always illegal to lie, although it can be in some circumstances - such as obtaining a pecuniary advantage by deception. But these were not what some people call white lies, they were dirty brown ones, and you seem to see that as OK. Check your moral compass.

It's the constant lying, but he reckons it's homophobia, which sounds like he's batting it all off with an ism allegation. I’m not ignoring anything and I’m sure we all know people RL who’ve been cheated on. The ‘he lied’ argument without any evidence of criminal behavior just seems as faux outrage because there are millions of men and women who cheat, and every single one of them has lied. They’ve lied to their spouses, family, friends, and very likely, alot of other people. The issue most people have with this situation isn’t that he lied, (everyone who cheats lies), it’s two other things: 1) Was there anything illegal - this is a somewhat natural conclusion to ask this question with there being such a big age gap. 2) Abuse of power - He should have had the sense to say ‘no’ and realised that his age and position in ITV meant he was in a position of power over the other person. My view is, I only actually care about the answer to #1, otherwise what a celeb does in their personal life really is none of my business & #2 is for his employers and anyone employing him in the future to decide. If Phil is a nonce, toss him in jail, otherwise he’s just another celeb like Ben Affleck, Ashley Cole and hundreds of others who struggle to keep their Johnson in their pants.

Lies told to a woman who has dedicated her life to you aren't. But that is a matter between the two of them. Unacceptable lies are lies told about parties at No.10 during lockdown, about driving a car to test eyesight, and lies told to effect a referendum result. Johnson told a long list of well-documented lies before becoming PM. He also had affairs. If you have ever supported Johnson, but find you can't support Schofield, it is you who needs to check his moral compass.

8 years ago Jack Jones caught Philip Schofield having dinner with the boy. Jack Jones suspected Schofield of grooming him, got the man's attention and caught him on camera.
