Objectively, you can't just accuse somebody without evidence and expect the police to act against them. If you could then everybody would be doing it.

He hasn't divorced his wife, they're still married. The Google I read mentioned Schofield then had .... followed by "divorced from wife", which was a reference to a different couple. Schofield is separated from his wife. |

He’s publicly said in interview that the other man can speak out if he wishes and he’s not tried to silence or gag him with a court order. He has also said that the other person wants to remain silent and for this whole incident to go away.
Obviously Schofield has broken his marital vows but there is no evidence of a crime as when the ‘affair’ happened, the claim is that the other party was 20/21.
Now obviously none of us know the truth but this is why I hate trial by media because if that’s all he’s done (an affair), then he’s done nothing more than thousands of celebs before him and this doesn’t sit right with me, nor should it anyone else.
Innocent until proven guilty.

We don't know the truth, but Schofield does. The problem is that up to now the only 'trial' conducted, was by ITV and the two main witnesses, Schofield and his young lover, both persistently lied through their teeth. Numerous people who wanted to provide what they believed to be relevant evidence, didn't seem to get much of a hearing from the ITV Judge and Jury.
For the moment, and maybe understandably as it's their field of expertise, most influential sides prefer the trial to be conducted by media. The Sun reports that Schofield contacted them asking for a platform to give his version, to which they've duly obliged, while the Daily Mirror seems to be siding with 'Team Holly' judging by their front page. BBC News main current affairs radio programme this morning aired their interview with Schofield in the prime spot just before the 8am news. The interviewer starting off by addressing him by the over pally 'Phillip' didn't bode well, and was a clear indication from the outset as to what to expect,
Equally quick off the mark are our MP's, never slow in wanting to convene yet another of their televised committee hearings, and that will be the 'trial' of ITV. Watch it all in the knowledge that Schofield is a self confessed and persistent liar, as regards this controversy, he will naturally want to keep his 'trial' within the bounds of the media arena, the ground upon which he is most skilled, effective, and experienced in order to conduct his defence.
When push comes to shove, my guess is that Woke World will eventually, if grudgingly, deplatform one of their own, and conclude that is adequate 'punishment' and far preferable to seeing any involvement by Law Enforcement ..... that route didn't end well for Schofield's own brother ..... so a degree of mea culpa, banishment from our TV screens, but you keep your liberty and your accumulated wealth ..... it could be the best outcome that the Establishment can engineer for Schofield.

If he bummed and under age boy... It looks increasingly as if he might have done - there would be no need for resignations and secrecy otherwise. We already know he's gay and cheated on his missus. ...then the Police need to act against him. But they need a complainant for that - a witness prepared to give evidence. Since there’s a super injunction you can’t really say anymore. why not. If you believe talking about something on here counts as publishing then technically its already a law breach since publishing the fact a super injunction exists is also a no-no.
