No they cannot, the Tories have weakened workers rights. What rights do you think should be removed from workers? Bearing in mid they are people who need to eat, have somewhere decent to live, have their children educated, pay for dentistry for their children .............................. Christ almighty you pro EU outraged lefties are completely bloody clueless. It's as if you havent been on this planet let alone this bloody country for the past 30 years. Nothing in recent history has had a bigger detrimental effect on workers rights than mass immigration. It has cost 2 in 10 British workers their jobs, it has kept shop floor pay low, it has enabled employers to force zero hours contracts on employees, and has seen the rise of the gig economy. None of these things would have been possible without mass immigration and lets not forget who the biggest supporters of mass immigration are, the pro EU Labour party and the left wing TUC. What does what is happening now have to do with the EU? The rest of what you say is just conjecture.

Not those on £120,000 per annum who want a 35% pay rise, no. Most strikers are now public servants rather than manual workers in the private sector, it is more of a political force to remove the Conservative Party from Government than starving workers in factories, pits or docks.
Most low paid hourly workers have a wide range of Government benefits from which to choose how they will fund the cost of mobile phones, Jet2 holidays and trips to the nail salon, they don't need to go on strike.

There's that language again, why do you think people would be interested in what you say when your default position is that of ridicule?

Ah, the old Tory mantra -"they are all well paid" excuse. So poor people should not have "mobile phones, holidays or a bit of pampering" maybe they should wear sackcloth and clogs. What century are we in?

The fact that you are unaware of what century you are in does seem to rather prove my point. Derek Robinson and Arthur Scargill may be your heros, but time has moved on.
