Here's another idea Starmer has: www.independent.co.uk/news/uk/politics/nhs-keir-starmer-unsustainable-money-b2342677.html#comments-areaKeir Starmer warns ‘unsustainable’ NHS needs reform not just more moneyHis shadow health secretary, Wes Streeting, has previously warned that the NHS must “reform or die” after setting out plans to use private sector capacity as a short-term fix.Not sure how the Corbynites who'd vote Starmer based on giving non-citizens a vote, or to those who zealously believe the NHS is sacrosanct in that its managed decline must carry-on as it tries to live in its outdated socialist model. But this something that needs to happen and I agree with Starmer here - but you never know with old Keir he does like to flip-flop and isn't trustworthy. However, the Tories could never stand on a pledge to reform the NHS using the private sector to support the failing NHS because the resulting smear campaign of privatisation etc would ruin them come election time. So, it's left to a blue Labour opposition to raise their head above the parapet. The NHS passed its carrying capacity some 25 million people ago and its been in managed decline ever since. Throwing money at the NHS from the handbook of Corbynites and their magic money tree is a colossal waste of time, effort and money. It needs more than money thrown at it - it needs proper reform.

Oh joy - another reform for the NHS.
Given the amount of reforms the NHS has had over the years since it was formed has it not occurred to anyone in Westminster to ask why it needs so many reforms - perhaps the basic model is bust?

You calling me a bitter old man when I am not even an old man - almost certainly younger than you if you have retired - is not an insult? I make robust points but your intellect is rarely up to engaging with it. Instead you dismiss it as waffle or now ranting. You mistake disagreements that are detailed and precise as ranting because you cant get your head around any disagreement longer than two sentences. So much for your much lauded experience, hahaha. Why should I not think that you are an old man with a chip in your shoulder .
Because I am much younger than you who are one of the real bitter old farts around here? And you are too stupid to mistake vociferous disagreement with you for bitterness. You daft old fart.

And your comical responses definitely won't cut it. Then why post them? I find it amusing to engage with your childish trolling because to neutral observers you will end up looking like the bigger clown, though I admit that your fellow bitter old men will still agree with you. This thread is living proof that if the silly old farts around here can be trusted with a vote in spite of the epic crap most of you spout, almost anybody can. Living proof, most of you, that wisdom does not always come with age. The idea that an obvious fool and ignoramus like you is more clued up than a 17 year old is laughable judging by your efforts in this thread thus far.

Wes Streeting is in bed with and part funded by private health care companies. I wouldnt trust him with NHS reform ant more than I would the Tories. His motives would be suspect to me.

Perhaps it has, especially given the levels of immigration, and in particular so called asylum seekers. I suspect Starmer is prepared to look at realistic changes in the NHS. The problem is serious reform without throwing the baby out with the bath water, a safer bet under Labour than under the Tories.

Say something original or thought inspiring and I might find you a bit less boring. I never claimed to be young. You just made that up/ But I do not forget what being young was like. And at 57 I am no doubt a lot younger than you and most of the other old farts around here. All your comment this time is is blatant trolling, apparently all you have left. It is a frequent resort of those who have epically lost the argument. Pathetic really. Clown.

If he had a clue he'd changed the way the legal profession work and leave organising the NHS to those who do have a clue but it shouldn't be a politician, a union man and certainly shouldn't be a dignitary or lawyer.

Your opinion is noted, but considering your support for Farage over the years I don't think you are in a position to judge.

I suspect that once you include’ realistic ‘ into the equation the solution becomes politically untenable.
