True, the last thing the C of E needs is a bunch of humanists masquerading as believers. Because the C of E going fundamental, and acting as though the Reformation and the Age of Reason never happened would somehow be a GOOD thing? (A local vicar, years ago, tore up his C of E membership card and threw his lot in with the evangelists. He now promotes Young Earth Creationism and women "submitting" to their husbands.. He never forgave our crew for knowing where Goliath was from for the pub quiz tiebreaker.) That's fine. He can join the humanist church or club. Christianity is based on accounts in the Bible, or it's something else, like: #bekind #givetocharity #foodbanks #teadances Anything but tell the gospel of repentance and salvation through faith in Christ.

i dont believe you benny. You seem the serious type about talking snakes . I think darling and monte are telling the truth myself.
braveheart , was based on true events with hollywood embellishment. For a country that thinks henri 5th said once more unto the breach dear friends during the wars with france because of the bullshitting stories of a 16th century walter mitty fantasist , you dont half go on about scottish history.
I digress though . We need to hear more benny.
I love an appreciative reader tampax. 👍 come oan benny. wheres this talking snake i keep hearing about?

This thread is starting to look like Monte, Darling and Thomas ganging up against Bentley for his religious beliefs. It's a great look on the forum, don't we all think?

If we want to keep religion out of politics we can start with those Bishops in the House of Lords.

Darling is making stuff up about it and using it to troll. His bitch, a serving moderator is taking his masters side. Thomas isn’t too bright and believes darling . Darling likes to abuse the mentally ill . Monte loves darling . Thomas thinks Braveheart was a documentary. 😉

Archbishop of Canterbury condemns Illegal Migration Bill in LordsThe Archbishop of Canterbury will make a rare intervention in the House of Lords on Wednesday, to condemn the Government’s Illegal Migration Bill as it faces its first test in the upper chamber. Justin Welby will argue against the flagship legislation aimed at ensuring people who arrive in the UK in small boats would be detained and promptly removed, either to their home country or a third country such as Rwanda. The intervention, first reported in the i, would mark his second major rebuke of the Government’s treatment of migrants and asylum seekers. youtu.be/66WRbQmW6EISomeone should remind Welby that he is an unelected vicar speaking from an unelected house. He is also a leading figure within a particular Christian denomination and has a right to speak out on behalf of what he perceives as the Christian values he and many of his flock believe in. This is particularly the case when he and much of his flock perceive the government to be acting in ways that fly in the face of Christian values. That doesn't necessarily make him right of course, but he has every right to speak out. The fact that you and others with little sense of Christian charity would rather he were silenced because you dont like what he has to say is a piss poor argument, and a definite case of tough shit on you, I say/ Christians are a dying breed in this once Christian country, thanks largely to the fact that the people who are invading us, the people who Welby is sticking up for, are not Christians. Indeed many of them have a very dim view of Christianity and why shouldn't they, they are laughing at us because we are weak and they know it. When Nigel Farage spoke, remainiacs scoffed and said he's not even an MP. Welby is not even a politician. Rather than criticising the elected government from an unremoveable position of unelected privilage, perhaps he should concentrate on the day job and put some thought into reviving Christianity in this once Christian country.

Welby's earthly boss is King Charles, so is he speaking on behalf of King Charles, who has also been told to butt out of politics, as his worldly wise mother had the good sense to do.

Welby is not even a politician. He's a member of the house of Lords, debating and voting on the government's proposed legislation. Not sure how much more of a "politician" he needs to be to meet your criteria?

Whereas you have admitted to be a member of the cult of vanishing trousers snakes ( by request). Abusing the mentally ill is nothing to be proud of Darwin.
