At one time Tennents lager was brewed in Burton on Trent and roaded up to Aloa by tanker. whats your point om? lager/beer recipes can be brewed anywhere in the world. Tennents is one of the largest breweries in europe , and they regularly brew beer on behalf of other breweries the world over.
Scottish breweries have many leads on english breweries for many reasons. Quality taste and all the rest. The main thing though is water.
The quality of glaswegian highland spring tap water compared to that chemical shite full of limescale that is fed into english households is like the difference between the delights of french wine and the poor cheaper and inferior english imitation.
No comparison.
We dont need you for brewereis , and with 90 % of the uk freshwater in scotland , we dont need you for water either.

the english author and celtic historian peter beresford ellis does a good section on brittany (breizh) and its history in his book "the celtic revolution" , from the king nominoe crushing the invading franks , in the ninth century , to the wars with france and their alliance with england in the medieval period .
Did i not read somewhere there is supposed to be a street in london called little britian which was allegedly where the old breton embassy was centuries ago?
There is a street in the City of London called Little Britain. It borders one edge of Postman’s Park. Although I’ve no info on a Breton Embassy, I could direct you to places nearby having a historical association with the Hanseatic League…

What’s in a name?…Little Britain…
This central – and rather unassuming – London street owes its name to the French – not British – who apparently once lived in the area which lies just south of Smithfield.
Originally named Little Brittany, it was settlers from Brittany in the west of modern France that inhabited the area where the street can be found after the Norman Conquest. Foremost among them apparently was the Duke of Brittany who apparently had a house here prior to the 1500s

I wasn't really making a point, just a random bit of information. My Dad used to do a night trunk down to Burton on Trent, one of the perks was lots and lots of free Tennents Lager around the house. Never cared for it very much, not being a lager drinker.

that wikipedia is usefull sometimes but it doesnt half talk some unadulterated shite at times also. Wtf is scots stane of scuin?
everybody calls it the cludgie stane.
i think the earleir article i posted linked to ian lawsons site about sums it up , except the bit where he claims it definetly isnae from the irish an lia fail as that stayed at the hill of tara. It was supposed to be half the irish stone taken by the gaels in antiquity.
