Going back the subject of the OP, I learnt today Britain's only battery maker is to move to the US where there are rich subsidies provided by borrowed dollars.
You may ask what the batteries were used for. Well of course they are used for killing people, and I expect they are killing Russians right now. Lovely chap eh?

Another one today: China finds water on the moon.
Outstanding - only 47 years after the Russians discovered the same thing..

Outstanding - only 47 years after the Russians discovered the same thing.. You are the second person on this thread who fails to follow and comprehend a mildly technical video. We learnt this in Britain in the lower schools in English lessons. You would read a passage and then answer questions on what was meant in the text.
The problem with the military brain is it thinks in black and white. There is either water on the moon or there is not - end of story. The one about a solar telescope being like a WW2 radar was rather amusing too. No wonder you don't see any progress in China. It is far too advanced. Stick to cannons - lol.

As the video clearly states this new method easily detects water sources and then goes onto explain the significance of this. I struggle to understand the simplicity of the answers you are getting from those supposedly interested.

When you're on a site where the mods join in the puerile comments and jeering, its hard to believe they will take appropriate action. In any case I thought these threads were monitored? Frankly its ridiculous that the only thread you can have a discussion on (For any subject) without it being reduced to infancy is the one new would be members can't see. This site is only attracting the same dysfunctional homeless racists etc who are looking for echo chambers, that caused the last site to be closed down

And possibly may not happen at all.

I think the problem Baron has is that all the latest life changing development are in medicine, gene tech etc. And China is not involved with medical development to the extent the West is. Their inventions tend to be practical immediate use items.

I have asked him several times to cite specific examples of new Chinese inventions but he declines.

Seems that Chinese travel websites have similar issues. In an article entitled "4 Great New Inventions of China that Changed the World" they give: high-speed rail, Alipay, bike-sharing, and online shopping. Then they go on to admit that these new inventions did not originate in China and were first devised decades ago...

After that I mentioned the graphene transistor, but it was totally ignored as I had expected. It is why I refused to carry on with examples initially. They either think up a reason to put it down or ignore. I find it difficult to understand this mentality. Even the Saudis are getting into science. They have broken the world record for the most efficiency solar cell. 50% better than current technology.

I thought they were invented in the UK? I remember reading about the discovery made at Manchester university?

Graphene transistors were first developed by MIT & IBM in 2008 - I cannot find anything about Chinese inventions between the discovery of Graphene at Manchester Uni in 2004 and the MIT development 4 years later.
Must have been another secret invention.

The Chinese don't invent things too much. Maybe acupuncture was their last thing? However, they are the workshop of the world producing virtually everything, based on the rest of the World's ideas. They also bootleg pharmaceuticals without licences, causing the Pharma companies to take action to try to prevent it. They are laughing at us, all the time, making money by avoiding copyrights and stealing technology, ideas and blueprints.
