It is a trial, just like the one that a lot of 'private' businesses tried and liked.
It says they are taking longer breaks but has no evidence to support it, if they did they would show it.
They are spending time walking their dogs, WOW.

Why do you feel the need to stoop to playground tactics of name calling? If it 'worked' in the private sector, why do you believe it would not in the public sector?

If it 'worked' in the private sector, why do you believe it would not in the public sector? Because anyone who doesn't understand the difference between public and private sector, is imo a pillock. I say again, private businesses can do what the hell they like, they survive or fail on the economic and financial decisions they make. If a private company allows it's employees to work a four day week and pays them for a five day week so be it, it's because they can afford it. On the other hand councils rely 100% on council tax and the biggest portion of council tax revenue is spent on salaries and pensions. Yet some loony left wing councils are allowing staff to work a four day week while still paying them for a five day week. Councils aren't paying for this, it's council tax payers who are paying for it. Incidentally, the CEO of LibDem South Cambridge Council Liz Smith is on a salary of £136,000, plus expenses and generous pension benefits, all paid for by council tax. And she is allowing staff to work four days while being paid for five days, and has just increased council tax by 5%. Vote LibDem. Ha.

Councils get their money from three main sources: direct funding from national government (central government grants), a tax on commercial properties (business rates) and a tax on residential properties (council tax) but hey ho why would a Tory consider truth?

Ok, lets look at that again then Councils get their money from three main sources ‘Direct Funding From Central Government’ : Money stolen from the purses of working men and women by the tax evading shithead in number 11 ‘A tax on commercial properties’ : Money stolen from businesses who are forced to pass on the cost in the retail prices they charge for their goods and services ‘A tax on residential properties’ : Money stolen from the town’s residents for which they get fuck all in return. And the labour khunts in Newport jacked OUR fucking council tax up by TEN per cent not five. And its fucking impossible to vote em out with all the fucking immigrants welsh labour have given the vote as noted in the electoral commission report on the matter of welsh electoral changes.

Businesses adjust prices to the consumer, so public pay and residential properties, public pay.

If it increases productivity and wellbeing would you still oppose it? Hoe does paying someone not to work increase productivity?

Of course, that's the Tory view. If it increases productivity and wellbeing would you still oppose it? Hoe does paying someone not to work increase productivity? People are more efficient when they are not tired or fed up, surely even you can see that?

Hoe does paying someone not to work increase productivity? People are more efficient when they are not tired or fed up, surely even you can see that? So you have evidence that any improvement in this 'tired and fed up' effect will outweigh the loss of working hours?. I doubt it very much..
