Are you authoritarian? Do you believe people should conform (little or no tolerance for different cultures, lifestyles (gay, transgender), etc.? Do you believe in harsh prison sentences for criminals? Are you nationalistic? Do you think the Empire was a good thing? If the answers to the above are mainly yes, then you're on the right, Ned. I don't know you well enough to say you are, but, taking a guess, I would say so. There is nothing more authoritarian than saying who you can and cannot freely associate with and who you can and cannot employ. If one is to tolerate different cultures then why is it forbidden to form any group predicated on a white ethnic culture? How come you don't identify as a 'lefty' if you're concerned about labour and employment rights?

Are you on the left or right, Sandy? I was always well left, I think I now reside on the right but then all of that is subjective. I believe that everyone should be treated the same in law, for some reason that places me on the far right. Why is that? Because, like the national socialists, you are concerned with the labour rights of a specific racial group only. That places you on the right.

How do you arrive at that from 'I believe that everyone should ne treated the same in law', If one is concerned only with the Labour rights of a specific ethnic group that places Lenny Henry on the right along with BLM and OBV as well as the Equality Commission and the drafters of all the Race Relations laws to date.

'Lefties' believe in equal opportunity. If any of the above organisations doesn't believe in equal opportunity, it is not 'a Lefty' organisation.

How on earth do you define equal opportunity if it is different from being treated the same in law.

Are you talking about positive discrimination? You can talk about anything you like I am asking is there a problem with treating people equally in law? There is nothing wrong with using the law as an instrument to achieve equality.

Depends how you define equality? How do you define it? If a man has one arm I would expect him to be treated the same as all people with one arm in law. All able bodied people should be treated the same in law.

So, you would expect the different sexes to be treated differently in law? You would be content as long as a woman is treated the same as another woman in law, even if she is not treated the same as a man in law? Is that what you're saying?

I did not mention the sexes, why did you raise the issue? I ask again how do you define equality for that seems to be your basic concern?

Because you said you would be content if those with the same physical characteristics were treated the same as each other, even if they're not treated the same as people with different physical characteristics. Isn't that what all the stuff about one-armed people was about?

No, you do not treat people with flappy ears any differently from those with neat little tucked in ears, and this is the important bit, in law. I ask again how do you define equality as so far you seem unwilling to define it even though you said that was your left wing outlook, and in fact a measure of it.

The same way everyone defines it, Sandy. What was the point of that crap about people with one arm, by the way?
