Your post is both silly and ill informed, I'm well past being irritated by posters and their all too often immature political posts. When did Starmer pledge to remove tuition fees? "Sir Keir Starmer, campaigning in Blackpool with the shadow education secretary Bridget Phillipson, said he would approach university tuition fees with fiscal responsibility because of the damage done to the economy." Proving just what a sensible person he is. im convinced sir keef is determined to throw the next election . There can be no other explanation for his vast stupidity.
dont shoot the messenger see 2 becuase you dont like the times article.
read the article....
Labour’s two past general election manifestos promised to abolish tuition fees and Starmer’s successful leadership campaign in 2020 pledged to retain that policy. But the Labour leader is preparing a speech for later this month in which he will reverse his position.
1. Just your opinion. 2. I am well past being irritated by posters. 3. Correct and accepted but as I copied and posted from the article --- "said he would approach university tuition fees with fiscal responsibility because of the damage done to the economy."
i.e. he has to face the economic conditions first, even if he is ideologically in favour of abolishing tuition fees. Otherwise it would be no better than Corbyn's fairytale Lady Bountiful's silliness.

Signed by Mr Starmer himself.. Thanks, all very laudable long term aims to have, the economy being the first challenge of course.

Oh no, it's Whoiney/Balma/Oran/Thomas the Irish/Scottish Nationalist Sock Puppeteer yet again, so it is. Quelle surprise! Thats me squeaky , all things to all men depending on the argument.
I see though you cant answer my simple question about the tangled web you were trying to weave about the murray / norton conundrum?
Well look on the Brightside, Scotland's most famous son has arrived and is going to play golf. He might get busy civilising you heathens North of the border.

Well yes and no.
Unloading all the noddies into the universities where they can study grievances and self pity is a good way of keeping them out of circulation, but we have developed the unfortunate habit of acting as though they matter

Except they eventually rejoin civilised society, in fact some 5% drop out within a year. Sad thing is some of that 5% will have been the bright ones, discouraged by the shite they have to sit in the same class with.

Thomas, you're normally such a sensible chap but once you start chomping on the old indybollocks you're as giddy as a schoolgirl. He's a good historian. However his sole purpose is to spam any thread he can divert with indybolleaux as you refer to it. He does it on every forum he inhabits.

His favourite assumption is that anyone who disagrees with him is biased, and probably an extremist of some kind. Oh, another is the fact that he likes to attack people who point out such truths by accusing us of lying about him. If he sees this I expect he will be along at some point to accuse me yet again of doing just that, lol. Liar, you clearly have no shame which is probably why you can't think outside of your hard-left box. I do like exposing the exaggerations, denigrations and the insinuated lies used by those who's overcontrolling bias refuses them the ability to see beyond their limited political thinking. Correct, but do I believe I can educate the over opinionated fixed opinions of the politically lost posters like yourself? No. But I will continue to expose them Lol, see what I mean?

Talking of blairites, did you see keir starmer is now reported to be reneging on his pledge over tuition fees in England?
Keir Starmer is preparing to ditch Labour’s commitment to free university tuition, setting him on another collision course with the left of his party.
Labour’s two past general election manifestos promised to abolish tuition fees and Starmer’s successful leadership campaign in 2020 pledged to retain that policy. But the Labour leader is preparing a speech for later this month in which he will reverse his position
I have stopped listening to Starmer and his shit show band of Blairites, to be honest. So no I never saw that. But I always knew that would happen anyway. Every pledge he made to the membership to get elected was a lie and the Blairites around him have an ideological belief in tuition fees, having been the ones who introduced them. So I knew that was coming. Just another good reason why young people should not vote Labour. I would rather not vote at all than vote Labour or Tory, and would consider almost any alternative standing as a better option - Independent, Green, Lib Dem even. In fact if only Labour, Tories and the Monster Raving Loony Party were standing, I'd vote Monster Raving Loony in a nanosecond as a protest vote.

Problem is spouting fixed opinions means stagnation in thinking, when some might expect to make some progress in one's political outlook on a debating forum. heres what sir keir originally said...
Keir Starmer pledges to keep Labour's policy of scrapping tuition fees if he becomes leader
Labour will maintain its pledge to scrap tuition fees if Keir Starmer becomes leader.
The bookies' favourite to succeed Jeremy Corbyn said the totemic policy must remain in order to show voters that "we lost the election, but we did not lose our values".
and now......
Sir Keir Starmer poised to ditch pledge on free university tuition
So they have now lost their values. Probably never had any in the first place.

It hasn't fallen by the wayside, it will just be addressed according to the economic conditions. That is the reality choice made and recognised by responsible people. While irresponsible people put the worst possible slant on it.
