British Diplomats ordered to Spy on Scottish Gov Ministers and Foreign Governments warned not to talk directly to Scottish Government representatives
THE UK Government has been told to withdraw its new rules aimed at curtailing Scottish ministers’ overseas work. It emerged last month that Foreign Secretary James Cleverly had issued a letter to all UK diplomats with four demands on handling Holyrood ministers’ foreign visits and discussions. The rules were as follows: All ambassadors must “gather information” on news of Scottish ministers’ foreign trips, all Scottish Government communication with foreign countries must go through the UK, all ambassadors must tell foreign countries to go through the UK and not talk directly to Scottish representatives and, finally, a UK official must sit in on meetings with Holyrood officials and foreign counterparts.
your government seems to be getting increasingly desperate not to lose us for some strange reason.

its nothing new , and has been used since at least the 2014 indyref. It does though beautifully describe the fighting like rats in a sack situation we find oursleves in.

Sir Andy Murray saying he'd support "anyone but England" in the 2006 World Cup pre-dates the 2014 referendum, but he's still apparently welcome in Surrey where he lives... His repatriation, and that of many other Jocks resident in England, would at least be amusing to behold.

THE UK Government has sent resources intended to teach children about King Charles’s coronation and the role of the monarchy in the UK to councils across Scotland. Despite education being devolved, the Tory government’s Department for Education has also sent the materials to councils across Wales as part of a reported push to get more young people to take an interest in the royals and the coronation. Graham Smith, the CEO of the campaign group Republic, told The National the lessons would be “more about preaching than they are about teaching”. Smith said reports that the education materials had been sent to Buckingham Palace for approval made it “worse”, adding: “They should not be channeling their PR through our education system.”
It comes as Professor John Curtice, one of the UK’s foremost polling experts, said that support for the royals is at an “all time low” with younger people “particularly less likely to be keen on the monarchy” than they historically have been.
attempted brainwashing of weans , spying on scot gov ministers , begging the world not to talk to us. Thats where we are at in little britian today.

The reality is that Scotland is part of the UK and Charles is your king whether you like it or not. So how is teaching Scottish kids about their king brainwashing ? The Scot Indy republic is as yet a Scot Indy wet dream . To teach Scottish kids anything else would be brainwashing .

Whats andy murray ever done to you squeezy? There are more sassunnachs in scotland per head of population than jocks in your country , and they are all welcome here squeezy.
I dont go in for ethnic cleansing , although im told your country has history for it , but whatever rocks your boat.

He is not my king , in scotland we say the king is first among equals ,not a sovereign above us , and we can give or take away his crown as we have done with many of his ancesters many many times historically.
The crown of scotland is a side issue at the minute .It will be dealt with one day though once we are independent , and cast into the dustbin of history where it belongs in the 21st century.

It's an altogether beautiful description of the love/hate relationship that's — in my limited experience — manifested more noticeably by Scots... its nothing new , and has been used since at least the 2014 indyref. It does though beautifully describe the fighting like rats in a sack situation we find oursleves in.
Gone are the long years of nineteenth and twentieth century subservience and jocks knowing their place , along with the taffs and micks.
How long can the sack hold the rats before it splits apart.....?
It's reassuring that one of our most sensible debaters (thomas) is having a 'grown up' conversation on this matter.
Personally I did not like Sturgeon one bit, I think she did a great disservice for Scotland and its people, I think there is a lot more 'shock waves' to come out of her time as first minister.
I also think she poisoned the people of Scotland in to believing that the English were the 'bad guys', and they were all out to get the people of Scotland, she did a lot of brainwashing and very manipulative negative things while she was first minister.
I suspect her grievances were brought on by the UK voting to leave the EU, but Scotland also formed part of that outcome. Sturgeons hatred of England was far stronger than her passion for Scotland and the people she served, she took on a personal vendatta and dragged the people of Scotland down with her, it will all come out one day and the people of Scotland will feel, cheated, betrayed, not to mention robbed of money that was meant for them that was used by some ideological woman who basically was Putin in a dress.
I personally know, and I do business dealings with Scotland, and Sturgeon did not represent most of the people of Scotland, who I have found to be warm, friendly and very accommodating to their English neigbours, which did not reflect Sturgeon's vision.

I didnt like sturgeon either fair society. She had her pros and cons , but undoubtedly damaged the scot indy movement and did nothing for independence in her time as first minister. She is gone now, but i agree there are more shockwaves to come.
not sure i agree. I dont , and certainly most people i know dont think the ordianry english people are the bad guys. There is a difference with arguing with the local village idiots like b4 , vinny or see 2 , and hating an entire people becuase of the actions of some of their political elite.
I see no reason why the scottish and english people cannot continue to be friends , work together ,and have a trading relationship as well as partenerships in many other areas , but we dont need to do it in a dysfunctional union.
not sure of your conflation here. Sturgeon is slightly older than me , and im told she is a long term supporter of scot indy long before brexit was mentioned. Her reasons as to why that is , is her own to make.
it did , with some scots voting out , but in demcoratic terms , two thirds of scots voted to remain , and like northern ireland , we should have been allowed to. A fair and democratic union would have found a way to accomodate the views of one of its national members ,and brexit epitomised much of whats wrong with this one sided union in my opinion.
however much i dislike her , i have to say i dont think she hates england the country or the english people. Her family (granny) are english.

I had no problem with the referendum. A narrow, terrible, result - but the vote itself was absolutely fine. Win some, lose some. It was the misinformation surrounding the campaigns that was the problem. Take back control, have your cake and eat it, 180 million a week to save the NHS, a new deal within a day etc. Much like the lies, or misinformation, we have been told by just about every pro EEC/EU politician since the days of Ted Heath.

I admire Scotland because they have a alternative of a three party race, for us English we have a two horse race, the Tories or Labour, or even worse either one of them in a coalition with the Lib-dems or DUP which we have had to endure.
We need to keep political parties on their toes, and both the Tories and Labour have been taken us for mugs long enough, the sad part is we haven't even got a viable opposition (Labour) never mind three mainstream parties, so far it's a one horse race for the English voters, and it has to be Tories.
