whatever you aim for and however you do it , if its done by starmers underhanded back door tactics of lies , then this island will go up in smoke.
England certainly will never attain the difficult child humoured by the european members position it enjoyed before , i agree , but scotland has other options so there is no we in this monte.
It's my understanding that Scotland doesn't have the GDP to debt ratio required to meet the conditions of EU membership. The only way you return is as a part of the UK. not according to the european union.
‘It’s a simple fact’: Top EU chief on Scotland having no big obstacles to EU entry
THE European Parliament’s chief Brexit negotiator Guy Verhofstadt has told MPs that it is a “fact” that an independent Scotland could join the EU after Brexit.
....but the argument is at the minute upon independence, scotland will apply to join EFTA , which should take a matter of months and gives us access back to the single market while the full EU application is being dealt with.

Which will mean a hard border between Scotland and what remains of the UK. Just like the gammons, you will cut off your nose to spite your face.

According to our recent Panelbase poll, it turns out that a hard border at Berwick and Gretna is a price that Scottish voters are – by a margin of more than two to one – willing to pay to stay in the EU.

''Bitter together'' is a beautiful Freudian slip. It's an altogether beautiful description of the love/hate relationship that's — in my limited experience — manifested more noticeably by Scots...

It does though beautifully describe the fighting like rats in a sack situation we find oursleves in.
Gone are the long years of nineteenth and twentieth century subservience and jocks knowing their place , along with the taffs and micks.
How long can the sack hold the rats before it splits apart.....?

Only because the English love the Scots it is like a bad marriage with love being one sided. It will make no difference however much you love them.

We have james cleverly the tory politician runnig around begging europeans and other johhnny foreigners types not to talk to scots politicans , while the germans and french laugh at the desperation of the anglo tory government.
We had a shotgun wedding in 1707 , and the marriage was never about love , just control.

Sir Andy Murray saying he'd support "anyone but England" in the 2006 World Cup pre-dates the 2014 referendum, but he's still apparently welcome in Surrey where he lives...

Baroness Davidson of lundin links is still welcome in partick , despite her well known hatred of her own country.

For someone who repeatedly tells me he will never be considered british english , you show amazing restraint on your loyalty to them. Or perhaps its less loyalty , and more pragmatism on the value of scottish money and resources to londons continued well being.......

you love our money and resources you mean. One of my mates is straight out of the Glasgow tenements, you always know when the bill is coming you start hearing about the hard times huddled round the fire burning the floorboards. He has a wicked sense of humour.
