Nearly all of them have no passport. They're told by the people smugglers to get rid of them. Of course if they have a valid passport that shows that they're coming from a "war-torn" country it would be sensible to present it when they land. The fact that they don't leads to only one conclusion. They're almost certainly not legitimate asylum seekers.
If that is the case why do we have such a high rate of accepting asylum seekers when they are processed, which of course the Tories are not doing? These people leave their homes with nothing and run.Except a few grand to pay criminal traffickers . 🙄 |

They are also illegal migrants, teh fact we have agreed not to sanction for the arrival method does not change that fact. So we are breaking the law by not upholding the law? Refugee seekers have a right to enter any country and pass through any country they want therefore they are not illegal, this has been sorted but people like you do not seem to understand. Why do you keep saying that, there is no such right. Their method of arrival should not be held against them and they should not necessarily be punished for it but it is not a right. No country is duty bound to allow people seeking asylum to pass through their territory. The EU allows it because it knows they are heading to the UK and will become a UK problem. I have a right to travel to the territory of any country and claim asylum if I am not stopped, I have no right to pass through France to get to Spain and claim asylum. If I manage it I can claim but it is not a right. |

If they are claiming asylum they are protected from any penalty for their crime whilst that claim is being assessed. So they are not committing an offence and should not be called illegal. The clue is in the title 'illegal migrants', that's their official title, we've not made that title up,, that is their status, they 'pay criminals' to enter the UK 'illegally', it's what's known as a crime.
We are bewildered why it's taking you so long before the penny drops, we could have taught a chimpanzee quicker.

If they are claiming asylum they are protected from any penalty for their crime whilst that claim is being assessed. So they are not committing an offence and should not be called illegal. Yes they are - claiming asylum does not make you a legal migrant. |

There was a study done to examine the impact of large numnbers of migrants upon crime in the Lincolnshire town of Boston, which has one of the highest numbers of Eastern Europeans in the country. The findings of the study were backed by the Chief Constable of Lincolnshire The study found that whilst there was no more crime in Boston as compared to similar sized towns, the very high numbers of Eastern Europeans had changed the type and nature of crime. For example, alcohol related crime was higher, but crimes such as burgalry, robbery, theft of cars was lower. We all know that Poles, Latvians and others from Eastern Europe have a love of alcohol. Boston train station had the highest level of crime than any other Lincolnshire station per head of people using it. |

If they do report Crimes many cannot be solved therefore the identity and ethnicity of the person or persons who did it is unknown

"If an asylum seeker is placed in contingency accommodation such as a hotel, which offers meals, they are eligible for £8.24 per week to cover clothes, non-prescription medication and travel. They are not eligible for mainstream benefits". People may wonder why 'some' asylum seekers turn to crime. To say "Asylum seekers are fuelling crime' is just not true.
