If nothing else indefinite prison sentences would be against their human rights. No - collect them from the Channel and immediately transfer them out of country for processing. |

Its not indefinite, they can leave and return home anytime they wish. Well its an interesting argument but I see no chance of getting it past the Human Rights industry in the UK. We cant even put foreign murderers on a plane to deport them. Process them in the normal way. The main asylum processing office is currently Lunar House in Croydon - instead of Croydon lets put it in Kigali and then anyone who claims asylum can be interviewed and processed there and if accepted allowed entry to the UK. |

Its not indefinite, they can leave and return home anytime they wish. You fail to understand the laws. Its not because we can't deport murderers. There are two reasons that spring to mind. 1, Where the murderer would be deported to a country hat would kill him 2, Where the murderer committed the crime in the UK and his host country refuse to take him back. Neither are because of clever lawyers stop it happening. If it was well known that illegal immigrants would be jailed if they entered the UK but were free to leave anytime they wished, I can't see the legal argument that their human rights were infringed. What difference does it make if they are processed in Kigali (apart from adding transport costs) If at the end you decide they do not deserve asylum but you cannot return them home because they lie about their country of origin. |
