But you do Zany because first you asked what we could do if we are nearer than ever to Nuclear war, then you said we have no choice when you were given a choice. So in actual fact you are resigned to the fact we are nearer to Nuclear war than ever and are on a wing and a prayer that our esteemed leaders know what they are doing and there must be a victor. Which follows exactly what they are saying in that Ukraine must beat the Russians first to win the prize of being in NATO. Although NATO have already armed them to the teeth so like you they are saying there is no going back. Then like somehow we should be bothered about a suicide mission. I did not ask what WE could do. I asked YOU what YOU would do. Then I challenged your solution. History is filled with examples of the results of giving ground to Dictators. Its never good. Firstly who is the actual dictator? as you seem so sure!

Firstly who is the actual dictator? as you seem so sure! Anyone who comes into power and then prevents open democracy.

What you would do depends on where / when you get to interrupt the stupidity.
The 'poke one to Putin' vanity project was not in our interests. You don't end up in cul de sac with a spinning blades at the end of the road because you made the right turns

Ukraine is not the first country he's taken, people he's subjugated. How many before we reach your line in the sand?

What was needed was an arrangement that kept Russia 'happy enough' to contain Putin's influence. Instead, what was pursued was a strategic targeting of Putin. I will grant you that hindsight is 20 20 - but it was obvious to me all the way through.

A line in the sand is all very well if the only casualties are those who draw it. What may happen is that adhering to that line for some means everyone else has to follow and suffer the consequences. It is partly down to the EU playing international power politics in a very clumsy way.

Georgia, Belarrus, Croatia, Ukraine, Kazakhstan, Romania, Poland, Finland. Delete as applicable? How many people forced into compliance in the name of 'peace'

The average Russian doesn't want to invade Poland, but they also don't want their country encircled and crushed politically..

Such is the absolute media power in Russia. They believe The Ukraine is being run by Nazi's etc. Not only that, but the average Russian has no say in what Putin does. Unless they like the Gulags
