Well Rayner may well be elected as leader if they boot Starmer out. It wouldn’t take long before it was obvious that she had been over promoted. She would be like Corbyn but with permanent PMT. Raynor suffers from being 'working class' and down to earth, she says what she thinks not like the total tosspots we have in charge now. Is there something wrong with having a down to earth PM in your opinion?

She would be a great shop steward or charge hand in a factory but she is out of her depth on the front bench . She is the token oik . John Prescott with tits.

Is there something wrong with having a down to earth PM in your opinion? She suffers from being a champagne socialist, she might be from a working class background, but she now enjoys the trappings of wealth.
We gathered that her net worth is $5 million. As a Member of Parliament (MP), Angela Rayner earns a basic annual salary of £82,000, which is subject to income tax.
Tony Blair started off without a pot to piss in, now look at him...
What is Tony Blair’s Net Worth in 2022?
Blair’s Net Worth as of 2022 is $60 million or almost £50.3 million.
The vast majority of the former Prime Minister’s wealth has come through the acquisition of property.
Blair owns two dozen flats in Manchester valued at £27 million, as well as an £8 million house in London.
Blair has also collected a large amount of income through other investments and regular paid speaking engagements.
** You do realise that most Ex-Labour leaders are worth far more than any Ex-Tory leaders.
You are being hoodwinked on a grand scale.

Throughout history, all developed nations have enjoyed real growth and progress through migrant labour
In this country it was the Irish who sunk our mines and built our railways, in Germany it was Turks and migrants from Southern Europe who rebuilt the country after the war. The UK invited people to come here and work from the Caribbean after the Second World War, we also hired thousands of health care professionals from the sub continent.
The influx of Eastern Europeans through "Freedom of Movement" raised growth, it encouraged the rapid expansion of industries which had barely existed in this country, or industries that struggled, the Salad Growing Industry for example.
Other industries flourished because of the willingness of European migrants to do the unskilled jobs on National Minimum Wage that our own people were reluctant to do, these including the food processing sectors, hospitality, tourism, catering and care work.
Freedom of Movement had a positive effect on the UK economy, there were many companies who struggled to fill vaccancies, some food producers had permanent labour shortages.
The idea that you simply push up wages to attract people is a non-starter, because it does two things, firstly it creates the same problem somewhere else, secondly, by pushing wages upwards until it attracts workers, it also drives up costs - in the food industry the competitors are almost all European countries, you make British products uncompetetive.
Freedom of Movement is a "Freedom", it was a freedom enjoyed by British people as much as other Europeans, but its a freedom that has now been taken away from us. I can no longer simply move to Cyprus or France and buy a property and live there, its now more complicated. Brexiters have taken freedom of movement away from us.

So what level of immigration would benefit the UK most 40000 per year or 1000000 per year ?

Brexit has taken away the problem of cheap Labour stagnating wages and work conditions. It also has taken away small villages and towns effectively being over run by ethnic groups. Maybe they ex remainers should imagine their town being overrun by brexiters. Scary eh?

Stagnating wages - the National Minimum Wage has risen every year since its introduction, the NMW is what the vast majority of European migrant workers were / are earning.
Over-run by ethnic groups ? - you mean white caucasian Europeans of a mostly Christian heritage ?, such as Poles.
Was never an issue, never a problem, only to xenophobes.
The current shortage of labour is impacting growth, it is also impacting our competetiveness, it is helping to drive inflation because of wage costs, and it is pushing some businesses out of business, its making a difficult situation with rising energy costs, even more difficult.
Why is the UK suffering the lowest growth of not only the G7, but also the G20, why is our economy performing less well than the United States, Germany, Japan, France, Italy, Canada, and according to the IMF will perform worse than sanction hit Russia.

LOL, and there speaks the typical remainiac. Anyone who voted for Brexit is a racist, right? You need to grow up and catch up, we have left the EU, ffs get over it. And anyone who thinks the German economy is doing well is either bluffing, or clueless.
