As a point of interest, how would the government, or your water company, know you had a power shower? The rate of flow through your mandatory water meter.

My son has just bought a house which has a pressurised hot water cylinder, which means both cold and hot water taps have mains pressure. Perfect.

As an aside, my water company write to me every... two or three months probably, extolling the virtues of having a water meter fitted. Amongst the bumph in the envelope they kindly include a pre paid envelope. So I send both envelopes back separately with all the bumph torn in half. It amuses me that they have to pay twice to get their own junk mail back. Yes I know, little things lol.
