No it shows the disaster of devolution. Trying to run a country with both hands tied behind your backs , and the majority of levers of power and of course the economy controlled from someone elses country is the reason we need independence. Eh? - we are talking about running a couple of Ferries, it's not exactly FedEx or UPS. You know exactly where the boats are going to be tomorrow, and the day after, and the day after. If you cannot organise something as simple as a ferry service then giving you more power is only going to increase the damage exponentially. Rather us organising things than the incompetents in your country mate

On the matter of running the ferries, from my days in the Merchant Navy I can say it is largely a matter of telling the captain that you are here and we want you there by such and such a time and date. And then you explain to the Chief Steward and Boatswain that you are all men and women of the world and that you expect them to keep their stealing at a reasonable level. And there you are
That sort of thing has been going on since the Scots came over from Ireland and there was never any problem, but these Nats seemed to be flummoxed by the most basic tasks

You might want to consider puting the rural slum up for sale before starmer gets in mate ,and taxes the tory pensioners till the pips squeak for the nhs.

Colin Beattie has just said on a brief Sky News clip that he had no knowledge of the SNP funded "battle bus" ( or motor home as normal people would describe it) that had been parked on Sturgeons mother in law's drive.
This raises an interesting point, was he kept in the dark, as SNP finance director, in order to help the Murrells steal the camper van, or didn't he have a clue what Murrell was spending SNP funds on, or both.
So, we now have two stories and it looks like the thieves are falling out and stitching each other up.
Meanwhile the new First Minister is grabbing whatever media headlines he can with a Spanish EU bloke instead of attending to ferries, transport, NHS, welfare, drug deaths, education and potholes.

The motorhome that was bought by Peter Murrell using SNP funds was hidden away at his mothers' driveway for 2 or 3 years, when questioned about it he claimed it was an SNP election campaign "battle bus" for use by prospective SNP candidates. I wonder how that unlikely claim will be viewed by the jury.

One thing that strikes me as rather indicative of the SNP competences and ambitions in all this, other power mad megalomaniac despots tend to do things with more style, vast palaces, massive private jets, wardrobes full of diamond encrusted shoes, multi million pound yachts, lavish payouts to flamboyant porn stars and so on.
The height of embezzlement from the Murrells was a motorhome and a fridge freezer, and then they got caught.
The Scots really really dodged the bullet when they voted NO, but many of them know that.

The Scots really really dodged the bullet when they voted NO, but many of them know that. on the contrary om many of the middle crogund scots who voted no in 2014 are now regretting their decision in light of englands brexit. The same thing keeps cropping up , that they realise how bad a mistake they made and wont make that mistake next time , so i can see why you and your politicians are desperate for scots not to have another referendum

whats your point in relation to my earlier post om ? indy sits in the mid to high forties , nearly half the popualtion with support for the snp falling as per my earlier post?
So despite krankies wasted years , indy support has risen according to your own link , and supporting my claim many former no voters are now yes?
Sir John Curtice, professor of politics at Strathclyde University, told the BBC: "The realisation has dawned on them that while support for independence has tended to be higher than it was in 2014, it tends to be just below 50%.”
Poll: “Although Scottish Labour is breathing down the SNP’s neck, it would be unwise to count its chickens’ writes Sir John Curtice.
YouGov's poll, which found that 51% of all voters believe that the Scottish Parliament should have the power to call a referendum without the agreement of the UK government, while only 39% took the opposite view

The National Crime Agency is now involved in the financial scandal engulfing the Scottish Parliament and SNP Party, they have been brought in to provide oversight on Polis Alba conducting the investigations, this is now becoming much more serious and larger than we first imagined. Meanwhile the deadline of 31 May creeps towards us, the new English Auditors have to file the SNP accounts by then, and with the scrutiny from all involved it will be a challenge to complete this, we can only hope that they do, if they fail the SNP will be denied the 1.2 million pounds Short money, and by all accounts this will finish off the SNP completely.

I suspect you will be the same when scotland leaves. Hope you arent too dissapointed when we go though .

archive.is/4UJCv Murray Foote predicts the SNP will face ‘no charges’ from police probe
…”Peter’s loyalty to his wife is unquestionable,” he said. “First minister Sturgeon and her husband lived under crushingly intense scrutiny.
“It is inconceivable to me that Peter would so much as consider doing something dodgy lest it rebound and put his wife in jeopardy. Colin is no-one’s fool. He is a capable, cautious and diligent MSP who values his integrity.
“I’m prepared to gamble the Foote £5 on no charges at the end of all this. Should that bet be a winner, then the police and Crown Office will find themselves together in a very deep hole. Police diligently going about their business is one thing. What happened at the FM’s home is something else entirely.”
If he’s right, the amount of egg on British nationalist faces will be quite something to behold, and Yousaf will have a hell of a honeymoon after a rough start.
The most ‘Scottish of Scottish Records, printed in Scotland by Scots in a building on a Scottish Street’ headlining this says, well, they are not so confident in those ‘luxury pens’ (does anyone still buy these? I thought it was iPhones now) and ‘luxury frying pans’ now.
I am sensing news from the Polis is filtering out here, and it lacks excitement. Hence the story quietly vanishing from headiness.
If you want to get into fraudulently lining your pockets, you you join the Tories or Labour. Only an idiot fraudster would join the SNP to be scrutinised for every single purchase by the entire British media.

Interesting. The SNP destroyed by its own corruption would be rather fitting.
