The EU doesn't work.

There have been sporadic massive jams accessing the D-C crossing (passenger and cargo)for decades , Operation Stack has been running since the late 1980s

What does burning cattle trucks have to do with us being in the EU?

Again, I did not say there would be no hold ups at the border if we re-joined the EU, there is always a hiccup but to deliberately put harm our own ability to travel is just plain stupid. Why do you and your ilk accuse people of saying things that they did not sat, this seems to be happening more and more on this site.😔

It's all part of the EU's work to rule to make everything difficult. But if the problem is that the French passport-checkers taking too long then the solution is to get more of them or make them work faster. This isn't rocket science. The solution is not to rejoin the EU. We can visit most non-EU countries without difficulties. It's just the French and the EU trying to punish us for having the temerity to leave the useless EU.
