Why are politicians so set on creating and fueling division, so keen to push subjective narratives, so dead set on controlling and manipulating every aspect of our existence. Anyone would think they want social collapse........Members of Local and National Government seem to have forgotten that they are elected to represent the views of their constituents and not to impose rules and laws/bylaws which have little support from the majority. If constituency representatives listened to (and acted upon) the wants/needs of the constituents instead of imposing their own agenda, life would be much better from everyone.
Fed-up residents TORCH LTN road block planters just hours after they were installed as driver clashes with eco-zealots policing another hated blockade - in furious fight back against '15-minute cities' Vigilantes torched planters which had closed roads in Rochdale The scheme has now been paused as the council considers 'next steps'
They were put in place across Rochdale in Greater Manchester on Boundary Street,
Durham Street, Leicester Street, New Barn Lane, Salkeld Street, and Whitby Street

It's civil unrest, which will lead to riots, people are fed up and taking matters into their own hands, if no one listens to them this is what will happen, and the police wont be cutout to deal with it.

Central government are now advocating that each household will be reqired and to pay for 7 recycle bins. Are they going to fill our streets with trash cans to impede freedom of movement by us plebs? And yes eco zealots it it reported in many other news media outlets and not just in the DM.
Fury as households could be forced to pay to have seven different waste bins - amid fears councils may push cost of government green scheme onto taxpayers
The proposed changes could cost councils across the UK millions of pounds A think tank said any attempt to make taxpayers foot the bill is 'unacceptable'

We've got a cost of living crisis, mortgage/rents going through the roof, energy costs spiraling out of control, inflation soaring, and the councils priority is recycling bins, that all get tipped into the same pile, no wonder council tax bills are rising.

It's happening in London too - ULEZ cameras are being vandalised wholesale and rightly so, afer all what other options do people have when these measures are imposed contrary to the will of the majority? Indeed, I'd suggest that when democracy is ignored such actions become a civic duty.

Perhaps it is designed to cause friction.

I'm not ruling out that Labour run councils are purposely causing this unrest, then they can point the finger of blame at the Tories, and some people actually believe them.
It's not just a coincidence that most of this unpopular nonsense is happening in Labour run councils, it's like they are purposely winding people up for a reaction, and that's exactly what they will get, but it might not be the reaction they were hoping for.

Quite possibly. Divide and Conquer has long been Labour's modus operandi.
Or maybe it's just Labour's inherent fascist tendencies coming out. Either way, I really don't want to think about what would happen if they were in charge of the whole country.

Exactly, they are incompetent idiots, Labour in charge of tax payers money would be like putting kids in charge of a candy shop.

You instinctively know that a story is going to either be a pack of lies, or a load of twisted and bent truths when it The Daily Fail. Nothing what so ever to do with "15 minute cities" The scheme is the same as many thousands of other LTN schemes all across the United Kingdom (Low Traffic Neighbourhoods), and only the Daily Mail makes any mention of 15 minute cities. The LTN schemes are intended to reduce traffic, reduce polution, make areas safer, particularly for families with childre. All they do is reduce the numbers of ways into and out of a particular area or street, and it results in very minor inconvenience for some car owners, meaning they have to do a slight detour. The picture is of a street (back lane) in Middlesbrough where LTN schemes have proved highly popular, but of course some people are so selfish and think only of themselves, and refuse to be inconvenienced, even to the detrement of others.

His OP is more like one of his typical rants, I don't see any of it in quotation marks. If I hadn't read sidfiddler's post I wouldn't even know what Jonksy was on about.
