Any bets who the next victim will be to infest No 10? Providing it isn't a remainer I can't see that it makes a lot of odds. All Liz Truss had to do was cut taxes slowly, but she went at it like a bull in a china shop and had the money men and girlies wetting their knickers

First obstacle overcome.
Now — before delving back over the utter shambles of the rise and fall of Liz Truss — we have to hope the parliamentary party can now choose and unite behind a capable personality the public can regard as a Prime Minister...

Time the famous black door of No 10 was removed and a revolving door fitted, and Velcro wallpaper in the PM's flat

Chairman of the Conservative Back Bench 1922 Committee seen going into No.10. Could this be it…? Apparently, Truss requested the meeting. As far as getting rid of her, unless she voluntarily resigns I don't see how that could be achieved. 1922 committee rules say a new prime minister has a 12 month period of grace before letters of no confidence have any effect, and so far she has insisted she will not resign. But we'll see, after the past few months nothing will surprise me. Going off on a tangent briefly, many people are saying bring back Boris but I have to say, what makes people think he would want to come back? If he has any sense he will keep his head down and stay on the back benches. If he had any sense he would never have gone into politics. he's lousy at it.

First obstacle overcome. Now — before delving back over the utter shambles of the rise and fall of Liz Truss — we have to hope the parliamentary party can now choose and unite behind a capable personality the public can regard as a Prime Minister... That person cannot be leader of the Tory party surely as that has a defined process. They can only select a person behind whom government can be formed that will receive the support of parliament. The Tory membership will be understandably angry as the MPs destroyed their choice.
