Keep looking. We wont rejoin but your brexit dreams as ashes You made a false claim when you said ‘ Brexit is dead’. Brexit has been achieved . You are making yourself look rather silly by denying it. It wasn't a literal statement. Brexit was never alive, it cannot die.

Brexit is more than just leaving the EU, its all the other things Brexiters wanted to come with it. Those things will soon be gone, the Brexit dream is dead.

Those things will soon be gone, the Brexit dream is dead. No it isn’t Brexit refers to Britain leaving the EU ( exit). The dream of of leaving the EU is fulfilled. The only dream that is dead is the ex remainers dream of staying in and any chance of rejoining in the near future . Don’t project your failure on the winners .

Is that why the ERM only has 22 members left and Ricki's deal went through so easily. Boris is gone and with him the last of the obnoxious rhetoric against the EU. Now comes the time of working together and closer ties. Shared laws, regulations, taxes. Everything you Brexiters don't want.

It’s embarrassing. Im glad that you notice Boris is gone but your problem is that Sunak is a far smaller target than Johnson. Sunak is a pragmatist with limited time to shine . Sunak will create a more cordial relationship with the EU and hopefully a more fruitful one. Sorry for the bad news.

What was this 'brexit dream'? - I only ask because long time campaigners for brexit like Dan Hannan and Richard north wanted the UK to remain in EFTA. So what was this dream and who decided it?

I think that what the facts now suggest is that IF Tory supporters attempt to smear Starmer by alleging that he will take us back into the EU, it basicaly wont work, and in actual fact could even improve Labours chances. I almost feel sorry for the doomed Tories and their supporters Though, there is an indication of a slight Tory recovery in the opinion polls — and Sunak's personal rating is trending up after the February announcement of an EU-UK agreement on a Northern Ireland trade deal.
I'm not yet writing off either Boris Johnson or the Tories, but I'm hoping one goes and the other changes and reforms and wins...

A big issue for me is listening to Sunak talk as if he is solving issues caused by some historical party that was nothing to do with him.

Voting for them usually helps the Tories. But you don't, so why do you really hope that they win?

Voting for them usually helps the Tories. But you don't, so why do you really hope that they win? Voting Tory (my party of choice pre-Boris), has no effect where I live.
This used to allow me the luxury of voting for the candidate I considered would end up in the position that would do me and mine the most good rather than for a party and/or PM. That was true for Hackney Council too — where only the Jewish areas are Conservative — and I'm satisfied that worked out around 65% of the time.
My current MP is now well past it, and her office, formerly staffed by approachable and helpful people, seems to be losing interest in the job.
I am now in the position of hoping that a Tory party which will have (hopefully) shed its Europhobes, shysters, blimps and weirdos, will be in a position to win. If not, I'm fairly relaxed about a Labour victory because it now seems to be able to contain its infighting and present a steadying image. Plus, one or two terms in the wilderness for the Conservatives might just be the shock they need...
