The opening post is nothing except a giant conspiracy theory full of unfounded assumptions It started of ok, but then it gets to this point "they have China pencilled in right after the conclusion of Ukraine." a statement based upon what evidence. Then, the post goes on to make another absurd statement which is a common conspiracy theory oft put out by those of the nutty Left persuassion ... " DW - a German TV station which is a part of the war machine just as any of our own is , like Sky News, BBC, Telegraph etc."So Deutsche Welle is the same as the BBC, and together they put out the government line which is all part of some Western or American project to brainwash the people and dominate the world. In the late 1940s there was a revolution and uprising in China, which resulted in a Communist regime taking over, but the island of Taiwan remained as the Republic Of China. Taiwan poses no threat to anyone, and Taiwan simply wishes to exist peacefuly as a democratic nation, and as a neighbour of Communist China, and so why cannot the Peoples Republic simply leave things be, instead of constantly threataning Taiwan. The West, the United States, Japan, South Korea, Australia. AUKUS etc has absolutely no intention what so ever of starting a war with China. But the West is mindful of China's threats to Taiwan, and to its aggressive approach to islands and areas of the South China Sea which are disputed territories and claimed by The Philipines, Vietnam, Malaysia and Brunei. The ONLY way of resolvement is via United Nations or International Court decisions, not by illegaly claiming a territory and then building military bases on it. The policy of the allies ( USA, Australia, Japan, Canada, UK, South Korea etc ) is containment, and to demonstrate the international law reigns supreme. not by illegaly claiming a territory and then building military bases on it,LOL!! are you for real, you mean like Bondsteel in occupied Kosovo and occupied North east Syria where the Americans are stealing Syrian oil? they wouldn't know international law if they fell over it.

What do you see as a benefit aside from throwing insults at those you communicate with? Observations not insults. You see them as insults because they reveal more than you are comfortable with. The question was not about me. I know who I am. You keep very quiet about yourself. I mean from my experiences your replies have been totally vacuous. I do see you as a Daily Mail reader type though, always critical of others, but never looking at yourself. Somehow we are led to believe you are perfect.

You don’t know me or who I chat to either. ”China has a very long history and has picked up a lot of wisdom in that time” did you get that out of the ‘Ladybird children’s book of China “ You seem to be the thick shit . I only hope your internet pals heroes don’t think everyone in the West is as gullible as you . Their language tends to inspire a different way of thinking compared to the west, at least this is what I learned when studying the Tao and Buddhism. I would wager that the people and history are not represented by the Communist regime in absolute power. Obviously I cannot trust their government, and it's highly doubtful that all the people in China are voluntary supporters. Leftism is evil on so many levels and did a lot of harm to the China that interested me. I agree with the first bit but their political system is unique. I mean is is in no way similar to the soviet system. They call it communist as a kind of wide net which includes a lot of counties. It's a weird mix between a communist-like command economy and a free market capitalist system. The capitalist part of it is a purer form than in the West and far more competitive, and then you have SOEs which are state owned enterprises. Even with the SOEs the government is pretty hands off. They own them like a shareholder would and they too do pretty well so you don't get the duff manufacturing there was in Russia. What is similar to the soviet system though is the government have these 5 year plans and steer the direction of travel. They coordinate it at the top level. For example they have a plan for flying cars, so a lot of firms will take the cue and start building them. It's like the government are in harmony with the industry, so there are very few disputes and problems.

In case you had not noticed, Yugoslavia broke up into different independent nations based upon the democratic will of the people who live there.
Kosovo - a part of Yugoslavia which has always had an overwhelming Kosovan / Albanian population, and where Serbians make up just 7% of the population.
When you talk of "occupation" sword, Kosovo is occupied by a population which is 88% Kosovan / Albanian.
Of course the civil war would never have attracted international intervention, if it were not for the fact that Serbia had embarked upon a programme of repression and expulsions of Kosovan Albanians, which resulted in many thosands of deaths. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Reuters / BBC 2001 ..... Serbian authorities in the western Serbian town of Bajina Basta began on Thursday to excavate a mass grave thought to contain the bodies of Kosovo Albanians.
They are believed to have been transported out of the province in an attempt by Mr Milosevic to cover up atrocities and possible war crimes carried out during his campaign of terror.
Serbian police believe around 800 victims of the conflict in Kosovo have been buried around Serbian territory. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Below a certain level of value or influence everything is simply ignored and above that level, you get a visit

Below a certain level of value or influence everything is simply ignored and above that level, you get a visit It's to do with the amount of disruption you cause the government in terms of creating social instability. Hong Kong was a recent example of exactly what not to do and one where you are sure to get a visit. I watched one of these as the state TV broadcast a raid of a chap who ran a critical newspaper. It's not criminal though but just a sovereign state where each state is allowed to run itself how it pleases. The state makes the law so it is not by definition criminal.

So sword, have I got this right ?
You believe that Kosovo which has Serbian population of 7% and a Kosovan population of 88% belongs to Serbia
Do you not feel that it should be up to the people who actually live there who should decide who they are, and where they belong.

The BBC tonight was subliminally priming the proles for this war. They had a documentary about democracy, and to begin with was some spooky music and the title "The battle for liberal democracy", then straight to mention of Taiwan. One of the main people in the documentary which was involved in this project for digital direct democracy in Taiwan was a standard issue carbon copy American woman academic type, working with the students in Taiwan to create this democracy. I remind you of the Hong Kong riots and the democracy movement which initiated it was indeed students. You see as a modern city, Hong Kong is home to many foreign universities and other academic institutions. Of course you might not have noticed all these connections and their relevance, but as you can see, it fits the expected actions to procure a new war.
Meanwhile in Westminster today the MPs were talking about banning Tiktok on their official phones and said China is the biggest threat Britain faces. As you can see the pieces are starting to move as the hate is wound up. Duncan Smith got in on the act as well. I wonder how much he is paid. He wants to go further with TikTok in case the MP uses the wrong phone.

The bottom line in this debate is - What do the people of Taiwan want ?
Democracy means "The People" and it means - one person = one vote
China has not got a leg to stand on if the people of Taiwan do not wish to be a part of the Peoples Republic, does China accept the concept of "The Will Of The People" and I think the answer in NO.
What do the majority of Hong Kong people want ?, and how will CHina ever know what they want, because they are not interested in asking them.

Well if you really want to know the current position, this is the chap from the Chinese ministry of defence speaking today on Taiwan. As you can see, they are not having any of this pissing about lark. They know what the American agents are doing.

Yes the chap from the Chinese ministry will be completely unbiased towards the Chinese government.

Yes the chap from the Chinese ministry will be completely unbiased towards the Chinese government. It's the government's position. I thought it was informative. Similar things have been said on many occasions, usually by the foreign minister.

The Chinese people have probably never had it so good; I doubt the Americans and probably the rest of its Western Empire can say the same thing.
