Nope. Contracts not going to be renewed. He’s sacked but will work out his notice . Really? Oh brilliant it gets better by the minute. I bet he's not laughing now lol. Perhaps this will teach the smug left wing virtue signalling dickhead to keep his big mouth shut. Although I wouldn't put money on it. He probably thinks he is so important he can say what he likes about whoever he likes. Wa wa waaaaaaaaa. He’s talking about Clarkson not Lineker

Wilhelm Frick was the German Minister of the Interior in Hitler's cabinet. I wonder if he said anything that could be equated with Braverman's statements that Lineker might like to publicise in a tweet?

Steve Firstly thanks to Steve for giving us a link to the BBC Editorial guidelines. On the page linked to, it does say 'this section should be read in conjunction with Section 15: Conflicts of Interest', and I'd suggest that part of the guidelines might have more bearing on the procedure that should/has applied to Mr.Lineker. The Government's intentions as regards refugees/asylum seekers, is a public policy matter, and it appears to me that Mr.Lineker would only have 'no restriction' on making a public expression of his views on such a subject, consequent to the head of the BBC Sports Department and the BBC's Press Office giving him the necessary clearance. That's how I'd interpret 15.3.15 anyway: Individuals must clear with the head of department and the Press Office any ........... public expression of opinion ....... if they ........ concern matters of public policy, political or industrial controversy or any other 'controversial subject'. If Lineker has followed the correct procedure, then he would be justifiably annoyed at the BBC rowing back on having given the 'OK' to his intended expression of opinion. So did Lineker subsequently deviate from the agreed wording that the BBC had given the thumbs up to ? ..... or has he disregarded the stipulated requirement for prior permission to be sought ? But you would think, given this isn't his first controversial tweet of a political nature, that Lineker would know the BBC guidelines like the back of his hand by now, So is he flagrantly ignoring the rules ? I think we should be told !

The problem is, it's not the first time his comments have caused controversy. Yesterday he was supremely confident he would be presenting Match of the Day on Saturday because he is extremely arrogant. He constantly railed against Brexit, he has openly mocked Tory MP's and has been warned by the BBC on several occasions about his overtly political anti government comments. He quite obviously thinks he is above any form of sanction. And it's no good saying he is allowed an opinion, he is the BBC's highest paid 'star' and with that comes some responsibility. Personally I hope he is sacked, but it will be interesting to see whether he swallows his arrogance and agrees to behave himself, or walks.

So the ''woke'' right is now embracing cancel culture. That should put an end to the endless threads about ''woke'' they love to create.

Red Rackham Lineker does a decent job for an hour or so with the football on a Saturday, it's his increasing tendency to present 'Marx Of The Day' throughout the week that needs reining in. If we wanted Lenin of the Rovers we'd call uo Alexei Sayle, not Lineker !

This will be an ideal opportunity for the BBC to find a black disabled lesbian to host Match of the Day.
