Exactly . Put them in secure holding camps until they can be deported. And let the EU nations know if any of them complain we will expose that it is they that are a huge part of the problem. That'll really scare 'em. Why do those countries have a moral obligation to stop anything? It's their misfortune to stand between where these people want to be. The French are pissed off that their country is being used as a short cut to El Dorado.

Does that get it through to you that people don't have any right to just go where they want to be more comfortable? The EU Dublin agreement allows France to send them back to Germany and Germany to then say no 'they're out of time'. If you don't see that as wrong there's something wrong with you.

If people cross my neighbour's garden because I do something to attract those people to my house, it is my neighbour who has cause for complaint, not me. It is my neighbour who should turn up on my doorstep moaning about the problem I'm creating for him.

Still no understanding have you. I agree the majority leaving Ukraine are women and children and the majority fleeing the likes of Yemen are young men. Taking the Yemen case there has been a civil war there for almost a decade, that's different from an invasion by a foreign force war, and the young men are targeted because they are seen as a threat to the opposing faction. How can you not understand that? As to France being a safe country, that ridiculous statement has been debunked many, many times. Refugees do not have to settle in the first, second or third safe country they arrive in, they can apply for asylum in any country they wish.Even if they entered illegally. Yes.

IF that safe country will give asylum. France often says 'non' (because they came through Germany) Then maybe we should do the same . If the migrants knew that they would never be allowed asylum because they came through France then the incentive would disappear. And stuff their human rights.

I agree but a problem is getting safe countries they've passed through to take them back. Exactly . Put them in secure holding camps until they can be deported. We could call them EUlags.

They can cross through any safe 'country' the want to get here but of course you think they can go kitchen.😂

So in your book, having a decent society is our fault. Do get real The French claim they are attracted by the black economy. And Pacifico has argued recently that more applications are accepted in the UK than elsewhere, thus making the UK more attractive. Here’s a question: X dumps all his rubbish in his back garden. After some time, the rubbish begins to attract rats. X notices that the rats are crossing his neighbour’s land to get to the rubbish in his garden. X sues his neighbour for not preventing the rats from crossing his garden. The neighbour countersues X, saying that X's backyard rubbish dump is drawing rats across his land, creating a nuisance for him. Who will win in a UK court? The above is how the French see it. And they have a point. And no, I'm not suggesting these people are rats.

Darling we're not going to make our country horrible for everyone in it just to save the EU doing the right thing

Darling we're not going to make our country horrible for everyone in it just to save the EU doing the right thing Really? And what would you do in the above example? Suppose your neighbour, who has a rubbish dump in his back garden, showed up on your doorstep and blamed you for not stopping the rats crossing your land to get to his rubbish dump? Would you: a) Immediately build a wall to stop the rats; or b) Tell your neighbour to fuck off, point out that it is entirely his fault the rats are on his land, and sue him for the inconvenience he has caused you by drawing rats across your land?

No insult is intended.
