But you are comparing them to rats… To make a point. Orwell compared decent people to all sorts of animals in Animal Farm. No insult is intended. Sounds more like Nazi rhetoric .

By the way, who do you think would win the court case: X (who has the dump on his land) or the neighbour? Forget about the wider context of refugees, etc. Just imagine it is an ordinary case in the tort of nuisance appearing before a UK court.

Well the thing is you do not know either which was the point. You say 'fleeing persecution' but they are fleeing from France. That is the bottom line. So that means they are asylum shopping. Now asylum shopping was not the intent of the Refugee convention it was to facilitate the ability of those to escape across borders to reach a place of safety. Net migration is lower in most of those countries, we have already taken many people from Hong Kong who are a different type of refugee but non eth less part of the equation. As an interesting point, which no doubt no one will address, from the Ukraine the refugees into the UK are 82% female. The Ukraine is an active war zone and they are fleeing danger and leaving their men folk behind to tackle that danger. Across the channel those 'fleeing danger' are primarily young men of fighting age who have left behind their woman, children and elderly in the danger areas whilst they 'flee', your word, the danger. This is a demographic almost entirely missing from the Ukraine refugees. Every picture tells a story and it is this fact alone that tells us what is happening and is what makes people here feel as though the channel hoppers are indeed taking the piss out of the UK goodwill and the British people. No good will come of it and we will blame the dogooders in the end. Still no understanding have you. I agree the majority leaving Ukraine are women and children and the majority fleeing the likes of Yemen are young men. Taking the Yemen case there has been a civil war there for almost a decade, that's different from an invasion by a foreign force war, and the young men are targeted because they are seen as a threat to the opposing faction. How can you not understand that? As to France being a safe country, that ridiculous statement has been debunked many, many times. Refugees do not have to settle in the first, second or third safe country they arrive in, they can apply for asylum in any country they wish. The number coming from Yemen is pretty small and even then perhaps I am old fashioned but the job of men is to protect their families not to leave them to their fate. I understand that fully. In the Ukraine the men are threats to the Russians but those men are still there not trying to get here. France is a safe country, that is beyond dispute. The refugee convention was not designed to allow a claim in any country the applicant wishes it was to allow egress across a country whereby irregular migration was subject to problems.

Oh I get the lame comedy but the real intention is to link a camp where illegal migrants live to the Russian gulags while pretending it was a ….satire.

Since we are having a fantasy discussion lets inject a little seriousness.
Lets say a boat arrives on our shores with 50 'asylum seekers' on board and that 49 of them are wishing to do us harm, as some on here seem to believe, but one is a real refugee, lets make it a woman and they, under this new law, are returned to their country of origin without processing and a few weeks later we discover that on arrival in her home country she was arrested, detained, starved, raped and beaten to death, would people on this site say it was worth it to get rid of the other 49?
Honest answer only please.
