Indeed. She talked about potential numbers coming into the country and the need to dissuade people. Comparisons with Nazism are just fruit-cakery

Seems Bentley missed all the words about invaders, exaggerated numbers and denying rights and access to legal redress. All very similar to 1930s Germany bile. And then there's the words on the front page on the bill effectively saying we don't care if this is illegal Looks like Steve likes to exaggerate without posting anything to support it. All you had to do was ask or google 'The home secretary has said she will not apologise for her language, after a Holocaust survivor criticised her for describing migrants as an "invasion".
Joan Salter, 83, confronted Suella Braverman during a meeting in her Fareham constituency on Friday.
She said the home secretary's rhetoric reminded her of the language the Nazis used to justify murdering her family.'

If invasion is the only word that annoys then she should try and remember the multitude of other words that went with that word and were each many times worse. This reference to language redolent of Nazis seems like a ploy for political capital that sees MPs losing the whip if they even indirectly refer to it as mentioned by others. There is a high level of hypocrisy once again.

Braverman. link
Lying again eh.😔 Huh?. They are coming here as well as many others who do not have a right to claim. So far it might only be 0.1% of that 100 million but there is no stopping the tide which is accelerating. Perhaps you have an idea when it will stop under the current rules but no one else can see that. Some estimates are at 80,000 this year and above 100,000 the year after. It may take a generation to get to 100 million but then there will be another 100 million becoming eligible. There is an undoubted sustainability problem that exists and will come to a head well before 100 million is reached. Altruism is one thing but it comes at a cost and sometimes that cost is just too much. I have an idea, invite all the people of the world to the UK, process them and return the ones we don't want. It will probably save time and money.🤣

Well Lineker is far more popular with the public With football fans groomed from childhood and Woke hypocrites on Social Media. The reality is that the general public have consistently supported and voted for tighter immigration control, so it's very unlikely that they'll support people smuggling and illegal migration. That does not work for the Tories, they like the mayhem caused by their handling of immigration whilst telling people 'lefty' lawyers and the judiciary are the real enemy of the people.

Comparisons with Nazism are just fruit-cakery Fruitcakes r gonna fruitcake She did say potential, I agree but that firmly places the figures in some peoples minds and it spreads and very soon becomes 'fact'. That is what the 'use of language' does, it infects people a trick the Nazis learnt very early on.

Your simple-minded binary thinking and deflection tactics where everything comes down to "the Tories" is somewhat beneath me. I transcended long ago.
EDIT: read it again, Red Rum, it applies to your irrelevant follow ups, too.

Comparisons with Nazism are just fruit-cakery Fruitcakes r gonna fruitcake Collectivist fruitcakes, where they rely on each other as confirmation bias (Social Media suits them). It's basically the same lot who want this country in moral and economic decline, because they lost. Coincidently, they, whether they like it or not, are really no different to those who threaten the west with nuclear war.

Why would you not call an uninvited influx of mainly young men an invasion? If invasion is the only word that annoys then she should try and remember the multitude of other words that went with that word and were each many times worse. This reference to language redolent of Nazis seems like a ploy for political capital that sees MPs losing the whip if they even indirectly refer to it as mentioned by others. There is a high level of hypocrisy once again. So Sandy you don't deny that the language tone was correctly described by Lineker Deny? The point is if you invoke a certain comparison you bring into play all that goes with it, either intentionally or unintentionally. The word 'invasion' seems to be the word that is the problem, if there are more perhaps you can tell me. If the word invasion is what allows the comparison then there is little hope for any form of language that eventually cannot be used to invoke thoughts of 1930s Germany. Lineker deliberately brought into play 1930s Germany to win the point and to align any language along his selected and preferred lines whereby those arriving must be described only as accepted by him. This is typical of the left in general in that language is theirs to decide right and wrong and there is only one way to view a situation and that is their way. So I ask again is it accurate to describe what is happening on the South Coast as an invasion? I am at a loss as to how else to describe it, any ideas?

It will probably save time and money.🤣 We already are doing that and it is not saving time effort or money. In fact it is slowly, and accelerating, destroying us. Perhaps that is the idea. I would like to think it is not but the evidence is that is exactly what is intended and being done.
