She hit a nerve.
The issue of overabundance of potential applications is valid, but is one some people would rather not have examined by the public

She manages to look dishonest and malevolent every time she opens her mouth. She should have been political history after that rule breaking sharing of documents issue.

. . . Edit.I retract that . She did say it . Stupid cow. Oh yes but she's always been such. I wonder what odds I could get on her not being re-elected at the next election? Especially if Lineker were to stand against her as a Martin Bell type candidate. I think that you are overestimating Lineker. Knee jerk virtue signalling is easy at first but not generally sustainable.

There are 68 million people living in the UK and you think a 100+ million more are on there way. Braverman quoted billions so you seem a bit low. Realism is not your forte. No one said 100 million were on their way. No matter how many times you keep repeating it . Braverman. link
Lying again eh.😔

Lying again eh.😔 Huh?. They are coming here as well as many others who do not have a right to claim. So far it might only be 0.1% of that 100 million but there is no stopping the tide which is accelerating. Perhaps you have an idea when it will stop under the current rules but no one else can see that. Some estimates are at 80,000 this year and above 100,000 the year after. It may take a generation to get to 100 million but then there will be another 100 million becoming eligible. There is an undoubted sustainability problem that exists and will come to a head well before 100 million is reached. Altruism is one thing but it comes at a cost and sometimes that cost is just too much.

There is little altruism going on here. Forcing other people to finance what you want is not altruism

There is little altruism going on here. Forcing other people to finance what you want is not altruism It's all political. They all support people smuggling and mass illegal migration, just as they supported mass-immigration in the days of Tony Blair. They know they have no mandate, which is why they've taken over every institution to push their criminal activities.

The BBC are backing down under the pressure of BBC Marxism - a project where the people are forced to pay for partisan political propaganda or face prosecution. " Tim Davie, the director-general, will now face criticism over the BBC’s commitment to impartiality and whether it can justify being funded by the licence fee." www.telegraph.co.uk/news/2023/03/12/gary-lineker-return-match-day-bbc-bosses-back/There is no justification, but the BBC is too useful to the establishment so it will continue to threaten people for their money with full support from the law. Something that Labour supporters clearly support, where I and the good, honest and thoroughly decent people on this forum would much favour turning the BBC into a subscription service or just pull the plug. Also, this is not a free-speech argument. Those who are drooling over Gary do so for political reasons. They do not support free-speech for those they disagree with, which the good people on this forum already know.
His defenders do not have a leg to stand on when it comes to freedom of speech. From your link Having spent years calling cancel culture a myth, and calling free speech ‘freeze peach’ for some peculiar reason, they’ve now all rushed to the barricades. What was the turning point? What made the scales fall from their eyes? Was it that autistic boy in Wakefield being sent death threats for committing ‘blasphemy’ Was it the scores of gender-critical women sacked and shamed for believing in biological sex? No, it was the BBC’s decision to temporarily suspend Gary Lineker, alleging he breached impartiality rules when he took to Twitter to compare the Tory government’s Illegal Migration Bill with something out of Nazi Germany. Sums it up. Very much so, and not a squeak from the Lineker loving lefties.

She said the 100,000,000 in responese to someone saying we did not need immigration controls. Arguing that 100m people would like to come here and without controls it could become a disaster. 100m is an estimate of the number of displaced persons in the world. Suggesting they would all want to come here is either an act of extreme arrogance or some shameless scaremongering. No the actual number of people that might choose to live here without controls, not just displaced persons. As someone later said that is massively understated.

Forfar 4 - East Fife 5 Lineker 4 - BBC 0 That's how it has turned out. But I doubt it is the final score. We're into extra time.

Right wingers have been making political statements whilst employed by the BBC, That has nothing to do with altruism one way or another - My point was about the left performing concerted racial hate motivated attacks on communities and calling it altruism
