perhaps instead of worrying about proposals from the un on the age of marriage , the uk should first adhere to the UN resolution on handing back the chagos islands to the chagossians?
Shamefully the uk government has shown no willingness to do so. Instead we have unionists like you going nutty over any differences they see between scotland and englandshire under different laws and legal systems you once claimed didnt exist , while as ever ignoring the illegal occupation of the chagos islands and forecfull deportation of the inhabitants.

Are you telling me in your crackpot world of unionism , that a 300 year old difference in marriage laws between constituent nations of your multi national british state is more offensive to you than the ethnic cleanisng and occupation of someones territory by the brit gov?

Your last post but one ie. the post which prompted me to accuse you of massively deflecting, is 100-200 words long, and, in addition, contains 2 links. None of these words, and neither of your links, have anything whatsoever to do with wedding law changes apart from the initial 14 words of your post ie. “perhaps instead of worrying about proposals from the un on the age of marriage” which you only employed to set up your massive deflection. So, rather than “addressing the point clearly” as you claim, you actually failed to address the point at all, which is that, unlike the vast majority of Scots, both you and SNP ScotGov support the “child marriage” of 16 and 17 year olds and, in your case at least, the arranged marriages of 16 and 17 year old girls to much older men. As I have pointed out before on other threads, you routinely shape-shift and deflect when you get called out on things, and this is just another example to add to the list - albeit a particularly blatant and cringeworthy one. Your latest post sees you doubling down on this embarrassing behaviour. Only this time, as you desperately flail around trying to find a way out of the hole that you find yourself in, you have fallen back on the Indy fanatic’s last resort of throwing out the usual slurs from the Indy fanatics’ handbook such as “crackpot unionism” and “brit Nat”. And your view or mine on Scottish independence is of zero consequence here either. Rather, it is simply about our individual opinions on child marriage. Yours is that the child marriage of 16 and 17 year olds is acceptable - and you also find it acceptable that 16 and 17 year old girls can be married off to much older men through arranged marriages. In holding these views, you are apparently at odds with the overwhelming majority of Scots No wonder you are desperately trying to deflect ! |
