I didn't like spam, or cod liver oil, very much.

I still have my Ration Card issued to me in the 40's somewhere in the house probably in the loft in a box with some of my favourite books, had a spoonful of Cod Liver Oil everyday and Malt Extract plus a calcium tablet no choice about it, as for Spam if it looked like food and put before us we ate it, I was built like a racing snake back then, I can't remember a fat kid at school

Bread and jam was my favourite. We were lucky due to dad being stationed on a naval/fleet air arm base in Mainland, Orkney. Farmers had to submit their produce to the national cause but it didn't take long for them to realise there was no future in that due to the mines in Scapa Floe. So they used to sell them to the servicemen and every two or three weeks we would get around three dozen eggs carefully wrapped in newspaper and two or three pounds of fresh made butter. In those days we would share with neighbours, nowadays theyd be on eBay.

Rationing travel, energy and food proposed as a means to fight climate change .... ...all those in favour?. Outraged left wing eco zealots wont be happy until we're cold, hungry and totally controlled. They seem to think this will somehow save the planet. They see themselves as virtuous eco warriors, the climate industry see them as useful idiots, the sensible majority see them as ill informed ignorant fools.

I don't think there's any need to ration them, people are being priced out of them, or is that the plan?

I coming to think that "The environment" is just the excuse for more social control. We are sleepwalking into 1984 while being told it's for our own good.
