I have just read a piece in the Guardian by two Bloggers() who made the comment bellow, "Brown helped set in motion the decline in his fortunes when he pledged to "create British jobs for British workers’. That comment is a distortion of what Brown said. (See Browns speech 2007 to the Labour conference. Guardian part 2). Brown's speech was almost entirely on UK education and improving it leading to the UK becoming a leader of the world in sciences etc. leading in turn to a UK that was capable of creating British jobs for British workers. His comments were aimed at the UK and those working in the UK. i.e. British workers. No discrimination either made or intended. The dishonest misleading insinuated comment made by the bloggers means that their longish article is unreliable. still trying to re write history in labours favour see 2? I mean you are like a wee boy on the beach , given a bucket and spade and told to build a wall to hold back the tide.
Gordon browns infamous tangling with gillian duffy and the infamous british jobs for british workers was yet another half hearted attempt by new labour at the time to jump on the bandwagon and discriminate against white european immigrants that labour had at first set in motion when they swamped the uk with eastern europeans back in 2004 . They caused the problem in the first place , then tried to ride the wave of public dissent and anger against immigration when it started to boil over.
Brown is a figure of complete ridicule who writes such arrant nonsense im surprised you would bring his name into any thread. An absolute disaster of a chancellor and prime minister .
The anti immigrant line was something labour would try and carry on half heartedly under millibands leadership , as they tried to win back angry voters who had defected to parties like ukip especially in red wall areas. Of course , very few people take the labour party serious on immigration hence the abject failure to spin their position in various elections.
You failed to understand the truth I posted which clearly explained, with evidence, the way "British jobs for British workers" has been distorted and yet you continue to push that lie even now.
