There always has and always will be a better health service for the well off. Even if we completely banned private health services in the UK , the well off could access them for the price of a plane ticket. What we need to do is use private health services when they are a better option or a decent second option . I thought NL's plan, which was too late to come into fruition, to USE the private sector for some specialised operations paid for by the NHS was a reasonable idea. I hope Starmer picks up on the idea if he is elected, as it would take some pressure off the NHS.

I think that this has been happening for quite some time now, the NHS use private facilities for operations to ease the load and to keep the target waiting times down.

And many of those who moonlight to the private sector are employed by the disfunctional NHS.....Funny how the absenteism isn't so rife in the private sector tho isn't it.....NOT?

Having a rasping idiot as leader. Imagine even having to ask that question LOL So let me ask you again. What mess has the SNP made. Third time I have asked. Or are you trying to blame them for 500 people a week dying in bankrupt England every week, waiting on a ambulance. That's over 70 a day. Allow me a copy and paste as you failed to understand the first time I posted it. And it has not changed since. The number of patients spending over 12 hours in A&E was 0.2 per cent in Scotland, 2 per cent in England. Scottish nurses are the highest paid in the UK. NHS waiting times. 945,072 people waited more than 12 hours in England A&E departments in 2021-22. That’s 48 times larger than the figure for Scotland 19,667. Scottish nurses average pay is £36,631 in England £33,384. Health care spending in Scotland per person is £100 more than in England. The UK wankers in Westminster have spent 20% less on health care than similar EU countries since the wankers took power. Once bankrupt England goes its merry way. It will never catch up. Scotland has 96 GPs per 100,000, to bankrupt England's 76. Scotland has 840 qualified nurses per 100,000 to bankrupt England's 586. Scotland has 68 student nurses and midwives per 100,000. Double that of England's at 36 on both. Scotland student nurses , midwives and paramedics receive a bursary of £10,000 a year. And Scottish students do not pay any tuition fees. What mess up are you on about. And you still have not told me what your problem with the GRR policy is. And what has 500 people a day dying in bankrupt England waiting on a ambulance to do with the SNP. You are making one shitty job of defending the indefensible. Would you care to explain your problem with the First minister of Scotland. The SNP have underspent every year since they took power. And the Scottish NHS does not cost you one penny. But not opnly do I pay for the Scottish NHS. I pay for bankrupt England's as well. You being a subsidy junkie, as the English cannot live within their means. Your problem being

It is not the NHS that is dysfunctional. It is the Westminster Tory sleaze bag wankers who are dysfunctional. And the clowns who cannot think for themselves who swallow the fanny they spew, hook line and sinker.

At the rate the Tory wankers go. That will take 30 years. It will be sold in England by then. Once Westminster has been cleansed, purified and the excrement, that you pay to drink, washed down the drain and the normal half wits take charge, outwith deals at dinners,. It will be sooner. But I would not bank on it. www.bmj.com/content/380/bmj.p314#:~:text=The%20IFS%20analysis%20reviewed%20the,April%20%E2%80%9Cremains%20within%20reach.%E2%80%9D

The private health sector is growing now at a pace never seen before, and it is because the NHS has never been in such a deplorable state anytime in its 75 years.
It was in a deplorable state before anyone had ever heard of Covid-19, it has gradually gone downhill since the Conservatives took office in 2010 ... but thankfully less than two years before they are out.

Points too..lucky me. Well I don’t know about how shit the NHS is today my son in law had an operation that would not have been available 75 years ago, ditto my wife, daughter and me. Anyway your point about 2010 is valid so you can have some points back.
