Is there some sort of reds under the beds hysteria in brexit la la land vincent? I have never had any direct dealings with the UKIP. When Scotland's Tony Blair was balkanising the Union and trying to break up England, whilst giving you an anti-English platform, the UKIP was the only Unionist party at the time that acknowledged the problem enough to discuss reversing it.

Keep hearing no one in england cares about northern ireland.........then we watch the anglo elite spend so much time and effort trying to keep a fingerhold on the province yet no one can explain what for? You look incredibly weak and a total embarressment. You are all over the place today mate - still recovering from St Paddy's day? One minute you say that the UK Government has handed NI over to a foreign power (against the wishes of the people of NI) and then in the next breath you claim they are doing everything to retain NI in the UK. The DUP has said it will vote against Rishi Sunak's Brexit deal, the so called Windsor Framework, saying while there has been "significant progress" to fix issues with the protocol "fundamental problems" remain. news.sky.com/story/dup-to-vote-against-key-part-of-windsor-framework-12838883Since Sunak's deal keeps Northern Ireland, a part of the UK under EU rule, this comes as no great surprise. |

The DUP has said it will vote against Rishi Sunak's Brexit deal, the so called Windsor Framework, saying while there has been "significant progress" to fix issues with the protocol "fundamental problems" remain. news.sky.com/story/dup-to-vote-against-key-part-of-windsor-framework-12838883Since Sunak's deal keeps Northern Ireland, a part of the UK under EU rule, this comes as no great surprise. Sunak was just like David Cameron coming back from Brussels with concessions prior to the referendum vote. However, there were no concessions. This Windsor framework has the same smell about it, there really is nothing to convince the DUP that they will have power over EU laws in their own country. Rishi says he will steamroller it through parliament, but it will still leave Stormont in limbo, so will not achieve his primary objective, so what on earth is the point? |

I mentioned a while back that EU bureaucrats had futureproofed the Northern Ireland Protocol by including clauses that stated future legislation could not fundamentally change the protocol, earlier I listened to Baroness Kate Hoey discussing this, she said when it comes to small print the EU always did run rings around UK diplomats & politicians and reluctantly, I'm inclined to agree.
