If 42 percent of voters support her, 58 percent of voters oppose her. Simple. But you're also forgetting, most Scots oppose her insane authoritarian leftwing madness such as the gender self determination policy. Back to reality vinny , and i agree , this has been a badly thought out policy and disaster for sturgeon. Having said that , the brit nats appear to have thrown everything including the kitchen sink at her , and on current reporting the snp are at the moment touted to be the oppositon to labour at westminster.

SNP ‘would overtake Tories’ in snap General Election, poll finds
A NEW poll has found that the Conservatives would become Westminster’s third party behind the SNP in a snap election.
A poll of 28,000 people for The Telegraph found that if there were an imminent General Election then the Tories would be left with fewer seats than the SNP.
This would mean that Stephen Flynn would become the leader of the opposition.
The figures, from pollsters Find Out Now and Electoral Calculus, report Labour winning 49 per cent of the vote while the Tories would win just 23 per cent.
The style of polling used means results could be calculated in individual seats.

If thats a blow for sturgeon , i would hate to see her on a winning streak.

Firstly you place too much stock in small sample opinion polls. Elections and referendums are what matter. Last election she didn't come near the 50 percent she needs to get above. Even with other separatist parties, it's never going to get above 50 percent. Your dream is dead. It's over. You have a brain too. Start using it for thinking rather than dreaming. dont shoot the messenger vinny. Im just reporting what the poll says. That you dont like it , and cant understand it isnt my problem. |

If the aim is independence then I think that you need to replace Sturgeon with someone with some political acumen, you need someone with a sound policy, plans for "what ifs", and someone articulate who can present a position in order to win over the borderline cases. You are probably guaranteed to achieve 40% however bad the SNP are, but to top 50% you need a proper debater and leader.
To have someone whose default position is to insult and blame the English for everything, and accuse anyone who questions her judgement as homophobic, racists, transphobic or any other phobic is not going to win any referendums soon.
Just imagine what a mess you would be in if you had won the referendum and ended up with Sturgeon in charge, it would make Venezuela look like Shangri La.

Sturgeon doesnt look ike going anywhere anytime soon. She is still looking good in the polls , and is so far ahead of her nearest competitors its unreal.
Sitting on threads screaming why wont the jocks listen to us when we tell them sturgeon is bad....really bad isnt going to go down well with the majority of scottish.
I dont have a problem with the english om....its the british i have an issue with.

you have only just discovered this? This has been going on for the last couple of years om , and in that time , she has won 2 elections , is riding high in the polls , and still remains first minister.
Now sturgeon like all politicians will have a shelf life , and perhaps she is now possibly coming to the end of it.
She wont end up out of office because british nationalists are constantly screaming sturgeon bad though.
...but thanks for your advice on scottish independence.

OK, convince me that Sturgeon isn't under Police investigation, and that support for independence hasn't dropped off following the failures of the Gender Recognition. Who has said or hinted sturgeon isnt under police investigation for missing funds?
I have already pointed out wings over scotland broke the story three fucking years ago , and the police have been investigating on and off ever since as most scottish people know.
