Thank you gentlemen Pacifico and Sally. Your above two posts demonstrate exactly why we need to bring LGBT into the countries conversation. Your views are about 50 years out of date. look and learn - your virtue signalling is a danger to the public...

No gay people i have known appeared to remotely require my 'support' Most of the ones I knew and know don't even discuss it but the men are far worse than the women for mincing and talking "ducky" and they're the ones who are so easy to wind up.

The ‘ gay’ issue is settled. Why the gay community want to align themselves with trans sexuals I don’t know but I suspect that gay rights groups need another source of victims to exist.

Yes - the self interest of the people involved in these movements means we must all be subjected to interminable whining and nagging

How many shops could they save by not painting a rainbow on a road? Bugger all or nothing. Just because you don't care about LGBT doesn't mean others don't. Would you have councils refuse to help stray animals as a waste of money? No, you just think that things YOU don't support are a waste. Where did I say 'I didn't care'?
Don't play the old racist/homophobic card here.
It's not that people don't care, people want things prioritised, and if there is any surplus money left over then by all means paint roads in rainbow clolours, but right now it is not on the top of people's 'to do list'.
Ask anyone in any constituency what their priorities are, and I can 110% guarantee you it wont be painting roads rainbow colours, which I doubt very much not one member of the LGBT community has asked for, or changing street names from Black Boy Lane to La Rose Lane at a cost of £100,000, that every resident are up in arms about, including black people.
If you are a typical Labour voter then the country is well and truly fucked.
You didn't say it, your words demonstrated it. Your lack of even consideration for why it was done shows the subject is of no interest to you, the issues of no importance. You can't guarantee me anything as you know nothing about LGBT people, their numbers or their feelings. Nor do you have any interest. Yes we can find stupid waste like that street name, but that doesn't make everything you disagree with waste.

Sorry, some blokes tweet about what might happen is supposed to persuade me not to care about LGBT people? Has this ever happened? Most of the ones I've looked at are at pelican crossings where cars are stopped by lights. These crossing require no black and white stripes. And you're clearly unfamiliar with horses as very many things spook them from umbrellas to plastic sheeting.

Yes Labour councils tend to be full of people who care more than Tories. That's why they tend to inherit poorer areas. Your beloved Labour, who have only ever had white male heterosexual leaders. Whereas the Tories have had gay, female and brown leaders. Where is Labour's diversity? They even have issues with Jews.

Moderator note - Morgan and Jonksy. Stop breaking up the conversation with the dumb, endless posts about girlfriends, growlers and legs etc, or I will start removing your posts and giving warnings Fair enough. I'll leave it to a female to make a case as to why women should not be referred to as "bitches." Especially a woman who has achieved so much from an unfortunate beginning. I'm not a Labour supporter and a bit of a chauvinist myself but I think Angela Raynor deserves every credit for turning her life around. And I am 100% certain that every female poster and most men on this board would agree with me regardless of their politics. That's the end of the subject as far as I am concerned.

That was Corbyn, not in power anymore, banned from the party for refusing to apologise.

Do you think that might help to explain why the Tories have such a bed record of running the country, despite spending more time in office than any other party?

Yes Labour councils tend to be full of people who care more than Tories... What a crock of utter shite. Tories are more concerned about the size of their wallet than they are about other people. If they weren't they would appreciate the fact that Labour Councils carry a heavier social burden than Tory Councils, instead, they just point the finger of blame at Labour Councils. That's the true "crock of utter shite." in politics.

Pretend they are speaking on behalf of others, when in fact they are just exploiting a minority group of people, that's exactly what Labour do.
In general the groups of people in question object to these people being offended on their behalf , so don't be giving me all of your bullshit about how offended you are on everyone else's behalf, it doesn't wear with me, I'd rather have a honest person who doesn't care, than a false one who pretends to care, they are the worst kind.

Have a watch of the Laura Kuensberg interview with the Police HM Inspectorate this morning. Demonstrates why this is actually important.
