Fairsociety "Weighing up all the facts, Starmer was let off on a technicality, that being, Starmer's was not classed as a 'party' because there was no 'cake'. Hands up who have been or held parties that did not have a cake, but it is still a party" ---------------------------------------- No it was not a technicality It was not a party in any way, shape or form, it was a meal break after a working session, in a building which was an administrative building with offices and a meeting room. There was an agenda - there had been various meetings and film / photographic sessions apertaining to the work of the Labour Party, including the nearby Harlepool By-election. In the - PROVEN - case of the lying corrupt Boris Johnson, the invites stated "party" and stated "get together with drinks and nibbles", it was a totally unecessary gathering, and it was stated clearly as been a social gathering. I rather suspect that Boris supporters are bitter ... bitter that he is a well proven liar Listen if I had 30+ people at my office, and ordered £200 worth of curries and crates of beer, no one in their right mind would say we were 'working', they would say it for what it was ..... A PARTY.

Yes, in so many ways. 1, It was by the acting government. 2, They were clearly parties with DJ's and Karaoke. 3, There were 12 separate occasions. Now you are just making it up as you go along. Why don't you look it up, that's the norm when you doubt something.

Excerpts from << www.thesun.co.uk/news/18680854/boris-johnson-birthday-pictures/ >>, a paper not noted for excessive anti Tory stories... The true extent of raucous bashes in No10 and Whitehall during the pandemic has been laid bare as Sue Gray's report was finally published.
Today, Boris issued a grovelling apology and admitted "full responsibility for everything that happened on my watch."
Ms Gray discovered Downing Street chiefs boasted "we got away with it" after 200 Government staffers were invited to a 'bring your own booze' party by the PM's right-hand man on May 20 2020.
Martin Reynolds ignored concerns of other worried aides to plough ahead with the gathering.
Another aide said partygoers should hide their booze from journalists, who were around Downing St for that day’s Covid press conference - warning they shouldn’t be spotted “waving bottles of wine”.
But after the illegal bash Reynolds told another aide at the drinks: “We seem to have got away with it.
And on December 18 2020 - the day before Mr Johnson effectively cancelled Christmas for millions with the tier system - a huge festive party took place.
Staff members "drank excessively" and a cleaner later found red wine sloshed up a wall.
Sue Gray's devastating report reveals:
• Downing Street chiefs bragged "We got away with it" after sneaking bottles of wine past reporters • Staff IGNORED warnings to stop illegal bashes • The PM held aloft a beer as he toasted staff during lockdown • No10 aides showed a "lack of respect" to cleaners and security staff • Hours after the Queen sat alone at Prince Philip's funeral, workers partied in the garden of No10 until 4.20am • And the day before the PM effectively cancelled Christmas for millions in 2020, a raging party took place at Downing Street • Brits will be "dismayed" by the parties, grotesquely held as thousands were dying

I think the bitter Boris supporters should move on - you lost this argument
Lets talk about growth, poverty or the NHS, or how about the cost of living or ambulance response times
But wait a minute ... NOW I see why they want to focus on dead stories from the past, they dont want to talk about real issues. --------------------------------------------------------------- If men on a building site ordered take-away meals at their break time, would it be classed as a party ?
How about factory workers in their canteen, if they all ordered take-aways, would that be a party ?
Talk about "Digging a Hole"

We need to know did Starmer use his influence to avoid bad publicity, because this was the party that had a witch hunt out on Johnson over partygate, he could not afford to be seen as a double standard hypocrite for doing the same thing, he even said he would quit if he was found guilty.
We need to know if the potential next leader of our country is a double standard, deceitful, lying, perjuring, hypocrite.

No Idea, which one of the 12 are you referring to. But in my opinion £6.60 just about does a lunch time sandwich and a drink. It does not do a party. Though maybe it does as your place.

For the record ... the findings of Durham Police were the findings of "Durham Police", and the file never went to the CPS, and no one working for the DPP had any say in the matter. Just so you know But there's always space for a good conspiracy. And a bad one

The Labour Party must be a rather unique organisation if it encourages drinking beer at work, most companies that I know have a strict drink/drugs policy and swigging bottles of beer when carrying out work tasks is not included.

Not to mention who paid for it, I bet there was no whip-round, yet again Labour spending other peoples money, they are renowned for it.
