How did the asylum seekers who were returned to the EU under the Dublin Regulations get to the UK? They crossed the EU, right? So, there was a time when a percentage of those who crossed the EU to get to the UK were being returned. That's no longer the case. Instead, those were being 'sent to the UK' under the Dublin Regulations are arriving by dinghy along with a lot of others who now can't be returned. LOL!! FFS - are all EU supporters this thick.  I'll try and make it simple for you. Under the Dublin Agreement we ended up with more Asylum Seekers than we started with.. Untrue. When we were in the EU both Europol and Frontex helped to control numbers and the UK could return some to France. No one "returned" any to the UK because the migrants had not reached the UK yet. The phrase " than we started with" is meaningless. The huge explosion in migrants by irregular means started as soon as the country voted to leave all the systems that dissuaded the traffickers from operating. In addition there is now far more irregular migration into the UK than into the EU. Not a coincidence. And this is a perfect example of the politicians who lied to the public who were concerned about immigration and who understandably knew next to nothing about the laws around it, that it was all the EU's fault when in fact it was the EU which kept a lid on it. So they voted to jettison Europol and Frontex and got the opposite of what they were promised. The UK can't control its own borders without help from elsewhere. We had that and we in the name of sovereignty told the EU that we didn't need their help. Well now we have to suck it up. Gee thanks. |

The number of asylum seekers removed by the Dublin Regulation was less than the number of asylum seekers we received under the Dublin Regulation. We were simply a dumping ground for the EU's unwanted refugees - no wonder the EU want us back in the system.. Sigh! Those that used to be 'received' under the Dublin Regulations are now being 'received' by other means. They're still coming. But, in addition to those, there is now an extra, much larger, group that is coming because they know they can no longer be deported under the Dublin Regulations. |

I know you are desperate for the UK to be the EU's dumping ground (for obvious reasons) but its a job we dont really want any more. The numbers of refugees coming to the UK increased dramatically after the Dublin Regulations were removed. The 32% will never accept the reality of the situation, so there is no point arguing the issue with you. Public opinion is changing, Doc.
