Apologies Red. This is a car like mine, a Kia Sorrento plugin hybrid. I was showing people how big it was to demonstrate how impressive the 170mpg was. Yes fair enough, I should have guessed tbh, not to worry.

Spoils the ev message and share prices would suffer, media companies are being paid to keep it out of the news. But never mind that where is bunberg when the truth rears its head.......No, it isn't just big tech. It is the Liberal agenda. Complain about petroleum on your $1000 iPhone, while driving your Tesla on the way to the airport to take your private jet to the climate meeting to decide how much more we can cut carbon in the Western countries to make "0.02" change in the climate........What bumburgh wants bumburgh gets..... The shaming images that show where our iPhones, laptops and Tesla cars REALLY come from: The truth about the Congolese mines where kids are paid $2-a-day to dig for cobalt Images from the Shabara mine and others in the Democratic Republic of Congo show young children mining They dig for cobalt, the chemical element that is used in almost every tech product on the market today It's an absolute disgrace, this is the reality of the green dream, this is what net zero means and it's not just happening in Africa, pristine environments are being destroyed in other countries that have deposits of rare earth metals. But eco zealots in this country cant see it, so it's not important. Blocking roads is what's important, right kids.

Indeed, and now it's been replaced by cobalt mining. Progress?

So, back to the subject matter then
Used book values of plug in EVs have tanked in the last couple of months thanks to the realisation that in April they will attract road tax (no one has yet said how much) and now cost more to run than petrol cars.
For anyone wondering why so many are sold, the government is using the tax system to fuck the market.
Company car benefit rates for EVs are 2% of the market value.
Company car benefit rated for petrol cares are 38% of the market value
Ok that was what the guy I bought five of my last six cars from over the past what thirty ? years told me when I saw him last week but it’s why every car salesman at his firm has a Zoe.
After all, with a 19 fold tax differential an electric Rolls Royce is a viable offering if you want to avoid paying corporation tax.

A chap I knew who was the European director of Fiat bought a new car every 6 months and then sold it. Why do such a thing? Well he sold it for more than he paid for it. He was Italian, and as you might know, they are pretty smart.
