To come back to the point then,
The Tory party ceased to be the Tory party the moment it dropped its opposition to IR35 and more to the point S666 and started blathering about unacceptable tax AVOIDANCE.
There are no real tories left. Real tories celebrate and encourage the LITTLE guy as well as the billionaire donor because they know that without todays ‘little guy’, tomorrows ‘little guy and sons’ and next decades and next century’s ‘far bigger guy with political donations’ will not come about
There are few real Labourites left either.
Gordon Brown entrapped thousands of sole traders with a false promise of a one off tax saving if they incorporated and in spite of the FSB and loads of other siren voices saying DONT DO IT because we knew it was a trap shitloads of accountants, the same scum who probably told the guy in number 11 his tax dodge in Gibraltar was legal, enticed the fools into the trap.
The literally tens of thousands if not hundreds of thousands of little guys with a van OUGHT to be labours prime target. Instead, they are that bloody woman (Newberry?)’s target for abuse because of their hankering for their national identity and live of a football game.
No, there are no decent politicians as there used to be.
There are just scum out to make a mint for themselves and lie their arse off to continue to rake in the £85k plus perks, expenses and a pension scheme to die for

The Brexit debate pushed the Tory Party more towards the Populist Right as against the Traditional Conservative Right.
We got Boris Johnson, who in turn was a catalyst for the new style of Populist Conservatives who became successfull in the Red Wall seats. It was a perfect storm, Boris was wanting to "get Brexit done", Labour was led by an outdated Socialist who was perfect for the media.
At the present time, the tide has turned against the Tories, they now have a traditional Conservative leader, and Labour now have a moderate leader with ideas and ideals that are attractive to a wide section of the electorate, including many dissafected Tories.

I don't think so, Sunak is more of a traditional Lib Dem leader. The Tories will get a kicking (well deserved in my opinion) at the next election, Labour may get in, and then the decline of the UK really will accelerate, a more bloated public sector, taxes through the roof, back under EU jurisdiction for just about everything, front bench consisting of David Lammy, Diane Abbott, Lady Nugee Thornbury, foul mouthed Raynor with all the old momentum crowd in the background.
Are there any decent Tories left? I think so, but the blob made sure they were pushed out into the cold when they got their man Sunak in.
