It's sad to know that there are some dinosaurs out there that fail to know or understand that not all people fall into the XX and XY chromosomal pattern. It's ok for the average individual to be unaware of this fact, but people in authority making decisions in this area have no excuse. Two known variations with information readily available are, XYY and XXY , and there are others. once again dear god above , you dont have a fucking clue what you are on about.
I talked about this the other day . No one gives a fuck what weirdo wants to dress up in womans clothing. That s their business. Similarly , no one gives a fuck what individual wants to have a sex change op. This is nothing new , i remember a male hairdresser fae gallowhill in paisley , as camp as they come , getting the op .That was back in the nineties from memory.
The problem with this modern legislation as far as im aware , is the lack of safeguards .As a husband of a wife , father of a daughter and brother of a sister , we are concerned about the grey areas , and potential abuse of the legislation on our woman folk .
As evidenced by the recent furore in the amendment in the scottish parliament to stop convicted sex pests abusing the GRR bill , which was voted down by a cross party group. Bad law however well intended , is still bad law.
...and as we know your dear leader keir starmer cant even fucking identify a woman....
I think there is some agreement underneath all your rhetoric. No one is claiming there isn't a problem. Recognition of reality is needed, action needs to be taken.

Words have genders. Like masculine, feminine.
People have sex.

There is a bit of a difference between the medically recognised failure in the proper association of the sex chromosomes leading to recognised medical disorders (I worked, briefly, alongside one such individual) and the fifty shades of teapot recognised by the labour party as something you can declare yourself to be. Have we resolved the ‘men can grow a cervix’ quote yet btw ? I mean, I’m sure I can grow one inside you if you like, using the same tech they used to grow ears on a mouse, but it’ll look bloody silly given I can’t create the rest of the plumbing ….

I don't profess to know the disorders of any of the "50 shades of teapot" characters you refer to, do you? Apparently 1 in 4 people in the UK have mental difficulties. Who knows what goes on the human mind? I do not claim to be a Labour supporter, I voted Tory in 2017. and didn't vote for anyone in the 2019 election. Despite your personal dislike for New Labour I personally think they were a ray of sunshine and fresh air, especially considering what went before them and what followed after them.

That would help.

I wasn’t suggesting you had any political leanings I was pointing out that while you have referenced two specific medically recognised genetic failures these are quite irrelevant to the concepts recognised by the Labour Party to the utter detriment of genuine biological women.

You call yourself left of centre but voted Tory in 2017? No true person on the left would ever vote Tory. Typical New Labourite preferring Tories to socialists. That you, a former Tory voter, are constantly spouting guff about the wonders of New Labour speaks volumes. Contemptible really.

Editing that quote tree will be a nightmare so I have no choice but to regurgitate the lot in order to comment on one small point Starmers problem seems to stem from a failure to acknowledge the most important point of the gender recognition act, which categorically states it is perfectly legal for providers of services to a single sex to provide an alternative service, or none at all, to those persons claiming a protected characteristic under that act. Which means it is totally legal to offer something to real women and refuse it to any fake ones claiming to be women by self identification.

Im not sure of the ins and outs of every country john , because as i said this isnt just scotland specific , but across europe and northern america , but from my knowledge of the subject its the removal of the old safeguards for legisaltion already in place that appears to offer up grey areas and potential abuse that is worrying folk.
Starmer is a tool of the highest order. What about drakeford in Wales? Have they or are they introducing similar in your country? The labour branch office in scotland supported this legisaltion , and of course starmer has said if he gains power he has it earmarked for England.
Lets remind ourselves again its also cross party , with the like of fabricant , theresa may and penny mordaunt also supporting this from the tories.
