In Wales in 2010, hospital waiting lists were much lower than both today and just prior to the pandemic In Wales in 2010, waiting times were lower, as were ambulance response times, as were GP appointment times In Scotland the NHS in 2010 had lower waiting lists, lower waiting times, lower ambulance respone times, and acceptable GP appointment waits. (Question) In real terms, what has happened to the budget of Wales and Scotland since 2010 ? (Question) Who decides and then hands over the budget to Cardiff and Edinburgh ? (Puzzle) If Johnny is given £1.00 to spend on sweeties in 2010, and inflation averages 4% per year, and then Johnny is given £1.10 to spend on his sweets in 2022, will he be able to but more, or less sweets. ? As someone once said "theres lies, more lies, then theres statistics" ok you were the one who seemed to be unaware of devolution and labours control of the welsh nhs , citing the uk nhs( no such thing) needs saving from the tories. You appear to be 24 years out of date.
Now lets look at recent data shall we (bearing in mind this is now jan 2023 , and 2010 was 13 years ago.)
lets compare the scottish and welsh nhs ( this is from an article in 2019) neither of which the tories have been near in a quarter of a century.

The last time that Labour were in charge of the NHS in England they left us with 2 massive problems that directly impact the problems of today - one was the PFI scam as highlighted and the other the bungled new contract for GP's that allowed them to withdraw from after hours cover. Wonder what they have in mind for next time.. I wonder when you might consider stopping your posting of your biased usually insinuating subjective claims? Has the word Objectivity been erased from the right wing dictionary? I see see2, so now if any one dares not agree with you they are 'posting of your biased usually insinuating subjective claims'?
If that is the case then I must be a biased with subjective claims, because I wholeheartedly agree with Pacifico.
I will give you a little tip that might bode well for you in the future, just because people do not agree with you, does not make them biased, do you want everyone to hang on every word you say, and dare not challenge your view lol .... give it a rest.... it's called healthy debate, and if you can't handle it then I suggest public forums is not the place for you.

your post appears to be a lot of waffle , pure last wordism in an attempt to obfusticate new labours disasterous legacy. Fixed opinions make life so easy don't they. Your reply exposes your limitations. thankfully we have new labours fantasists like you to keep everybody on the right track eh see nothing hear nothing?

You ignored a few truths that I posted, why would any open minded individual do that?

I know Pacifico of old, and he has formed the opinion I have of him. I will give you a little tip, know the context before you but in. Until you do perhaps you should find a junior forum to participate in.

In scotland and england , we are told how starmers new labour will save the nhs.
In wales where they have been in charge 23 years , the welsh have longer waiting times , worse cancer outcomes and an A and E shambles.
Further , it amazes me how very few discuss starmers mentors in new labour , brown and blair shackling the various nhs in the uk to crippling PFI debt .Payments that cost billions each year and hurt the nhs systems across these islands.
Are we seriously pretending this party are the saviours of the nhs depsite the clear and damning evidence against them?

Both those faces are Scottish.

No, you just ignored them. I have never defended the Welsh NHS so why are you posting the above to me?

In fact I don't give a rat's ass on any of your opinions, mainly because they are generally bias.
I disagree with lots of posters on many topics, however I would not be as self-righteous as to call them 'bias' if they dare disagree with me.
Get it?

isnt it funny , how all of us from differing political persuasions begin to see the same faults from the same poster time and again.
Thats the trouble with new labour supporters , their arrogance and stupidity blinds them to the fact they arent too bright , while they think everyone else around them is as dumb as they are.

Absolutely, their sheer arrogance is dumbfounding.
They lay down a set of rules that must be obeyed, with the obvious intent of excluding themselves from them.
If you dare break their set of rules then you are branded terms like 'racists', 'bigoted' and so on ..
However those very same people use language that would break their own set of rules .... but they are exempt from them, because they made them. lol
