I neither like him as a "personality", nor much care for his work, but saying Mr Perry hasn't done anything of note doesn't really work.. Since the Turner, he's won a number of other top-drawer awards, from the Sky Arts to the Erasmus, has previously been made a cbe, continues to exhibit and be represented in international collections, and makes popular TV shows. People get honoured for far less. |

It's true. Tracey Emin (now a Royal Academician btw) was shortlisted for the Turner with 'My Bed'. It sold for millions later complete with condoms, underwear with menstrual stains and sheets with unidentified bodily secretions.
Mx Grayson is a Titian or a Rembrandt by comparison.

They never settled anywhere, my eldest daughter didn't live in the UK until she was seven years old, her siblings were born in Germany. But in spite of that, they are doing OK. |

They never settled anywhere, my eldest daughter didn't live in the UK until she was seven years old, her siblings were born in Germany. But in spite of that, they are doing OK. Same with me. I didn't live in the same place for more than three years until I was 14. Looking back through I am grateful for all the traveling we did. |
