..and you accuse me of not reading posts? practice what you preach. 53 % of kids according to the latest ofcom report dont watch live tv. What part of that and how it relates to "most kids " dont you understand? of the 47 % who do , i wonder how many in years to come if their viewing trends continue ( which i doubt) will continue to pay for the tv licence? Not many i suspect.
Oh do stop being devious Bwlow is your own post, look what it says 'Children still watch live television'Which as a generic statement contradicts your own 'Most kids dont watch any tv' Not my fault you're inconsistent. The big arrows arent going top help your pitiful argument.
as ever , when any argument of yours falls apart you retreat into arguing semantics.
I can see what red rackham means about you now steve. Nothing worse on any forum than a complete dishonest debater whose pitiful arguments dont hold any water.

Do you think that the depiction of interracial partnerships changes the dynamics of any given drama especially bearing in mind that some drama is based on that very dynamic. You could not resist the white purists comment as the whole point is to resist the directing of any society into a specific ethnic direction be that white purists or racially mixed. The strange thing is that non whites being in dramas, adverts and general broadcasting at levels much greater than 18% seems to be the norm and believe it or not it is possible to construct a drama where they might be over represented and similarly where they are under represented. The final point is that we are told that actors are selected on their talent yet in a drama 82% should be white to satisfy representation and 18% non white irrespective of the relative acting abilities. Some here might find this next bit hard to believe but I ignore it. No honestly. Someone started an Idris Elba for Bond thread / whatever in some pod cast and I jumped in and said fuck NO !!! He’s wasted as Bond make him a bond VILLAIN !! They got annoyed and actually called me a racist shithead etc I said why ? Because I’ve just seen him on Fast And Furious WhateverTheFuck as the villain and thought he was outstanding and could give Daniel Craig a run and a half given the right script.. Look, I remember the early bond films with jack Lord as felix leister the cia chief. I remember as a teenager in the early 70s reading the BOOKS that predate the films that feature Leitner. I remember Craig in Casino Royale playing against a black actor playing Leitner and it didn’t matter. The actor behaved as Leitner would have. Job done. Yes, I know where this is going. In the Connery Dr No etc of the 60s a black CIA director would be unthinkable. In the 2020s ten years after 90s a black president why not ? Move on. And that includes those wanting to trumpet the fact a black man has the job in the film. You are such a fucking dinosaur. Move on. 10-4.

If by normal you mean typical or to be expected it isn't. Yet in watching the output of the major channels and the advertising agencies it is not just normal it is prolific. That has to be a selection process and possibly there are various factors in that process but if the 'unintended' consequence of policies is to guide to a new racially mixed society then one has to consider how 'unintended' it was. If there is even the slightest intention to create a different ethnic society then that is no different to the Nazis and their Eugenics programmes and I thought that type of ethnic manipulation was something that was anathema to most people. You think that people get in a mixed race relationship because they saw it on the telly? 🤔 😂 You do have a very low opinion of people. Why don't you worry about things that DO matter? Mixed race relationships are quite normal here. Not at all and you know that is not what I mean. Pressure and nudging. Not so overt as under the Nazis but still there. I do not care about any type of relationship, what I care about is propaganda whether it is the Nazis or much lower level in the modern world. Let us put it this way if there were no mixed race marriages anywhere on the box you would notice and you would then think it did matter as it was not reflective of modern life and propaganda to bring about mainly white marriages Well going too far in the other direction has the same feeling.

Which part of your own 'Children still watch live television' do you need explaining in simpler terms? Ah the old cherry picking of part of a quote!
Did you see the bit where it follows on and says but are more likely to watch on demand streaming services etc etc?
If you believe children are the future of the tv licence and that great pillar of your life , the bbc , then who am i to argue with your delusions steve.

'delusions'? oh the irony You do like making false assertions about what I'm saying don't you Thomas. feel free to show where I've said 'children are the future of the tv licence' or that the BBC is a 'great pillar' of my life. It's part of my life, not nearly as much as Sky TV is. It's more an important part of the UK as we know it and throwing it away lightly would be a mistake.

Well there you go steve. You have the comfort blanket of ignoring reality and clinging to the fact children are the future for the bbc and the tv licence.
I bet you were one of those people convinced of your own superiority in the eve of the brexit referendum , then spent the days after the result hiding under your bed in abject fear and revulsion of the little people not voting how you wanted them to.
You do come across to me as the typical idealistic liberal with all your fantasies and delusions.
No wonder you appear to be a figure of ridicule by many on this forum............

What little I used to watch on the BBC tended to be on iplayer because my random work schedule does not allow me to watch much of what I want to when it is broadcast, still less keep up with serials. Sadly however the BBC has decided to deny me access to iplayer on the grounds that my laptop is VPN enabled and it therefore cannot verify that I am in the country. This is a nonsense because it has my account, email address, my home address and other stuff, all more than enough to verify that I am in the UK. But it expects me to disable my VPN and wait an hour or two for their systems to catch up before it says it will allow me to view anything on iplayer. I refuse to do that and so am now wondering what I pay a TV license for and am probably going to cancel.
Is this another example of the BBC not aligning with the way things are in the 21st century? Many people have VPN now. We shouldnt be expected to disable it and wait hours just to watch the frigging BBC

We shouldnt be expected to disable it and wait hours just to watch the frigging BBC The bbc is an outdated model where reality and the modern age is fast catching up with it. Its largely been an irrelevance in my house for many years now , mainly for non political reasons. Apart from my personal view of the organisation , both wife and children havent had any interest in it for a long time.
You tube , tik tok and various forms of social media , as well as streaming stuff like netflix are the order of the day.
I know from family and friends all over anecdotally this is the norm , backed up from the evidence we are seeing online from media reports , to organisations like defund the bbc and many others commentators.
whatever your politics , wether or not you agree with a public broadcster or not , its very clear to all if we are honest both the licence fee and the bbc is fast running out of road , with countries like France already doing away with their licence fee.
I took the decision to finally get rid of the licence fee direct debit earlier this year . I havent looked back . I suspect the licence fee is now paid for by the elderly , in short a de facto old age viewing tax .
Its simply an out of date business model.

It has also lost it's reputation for impartiality. We on the left saw blatant anti-left bias during the Corbyn era which woke us up to the reality that trust in the impartiality of the BBC is wholly misguided. Laura Kuhnsberg herself is known in left wing circles as Tory Laura and similar things. Chances are you have seen similar establishmentarian bias in Scotland which would likely manifest as bias in favour of the Union. I don't know because I live nowhere near Scotland, but knowing the BBC as I do I suspect that is likely to have been the case. The BBC was led by it's establishmentarianism into being biased against Brexit for a long time and is irredeemably woke, for which reasons the right are as convinced as we are that the BBC is biased against them. It is in fact pro-establishment but very left wing on cultural and identity issues whilst being wedded to the thatcherite consensus, and thus very right wing - albeit with a nice face - on economic ones. In fact, See 2 probably loves it because in all of this it is actually more Blairite than anything else. BBC - the Blairite Broadcasting Corporation.

It represents the establishment , and as john pilger famously said has a reputation as the most refined propganda services in the world.
I fully agree it had a rabidly anti corbyn anti left wing bias....similarly as i posted before , in scotland its has had a rabidly pro labour pro establishment and union bias. The labour bias was extremely blairite .
this old article never ages....
