This is one of the best lectures I have seen on psychology in terms of clarity of presentation. It's jam packed with results of scientific investigations and will prove many arguments about men and women to be wrong in the woke sense. It's time to get real about people and their brains, so we get the best out of everyone. At school in my day it was a one size fits all. If you were abnormal you would be tortured until you conformed to their idea of normal, which even that wasn't. If your brain was autistic you would have 65% as many neurons in the prefrontal cortex. This is for complex planning and reasoning in the abstract sense. Anyway, this guy is from Cambridge and has published widely on the subject.

This plot here www.youtube.com/watch?v=0o1PXeFEcL0&t=2380s is a real world statistical sample of the population plotted on a map that has empathy on the Y axis and systematizing on the X axis. The map is coloured so as to distinguish male, female and autistic people. Here you see a clear divide between the bulk of male and the bulk of female. He does point out there are the odd males who are far out in the feminine quadrant, which is high empathy and low systematizing, and there is the odd female in the masculine quadrant which is the opposite. The bullshit argument we get from the government is there is no difference between male and female brains - wrong. This is "proved" by showing examples of females who are genius scientists (high systematizing score). As you can see by the data, our picture is a bit more complicated than the idea if one can do it then no difference, just don't get the opportunity because of prejudice. This argument is false too. It's not prejudice, it is correct judgment. The more the job requires high scores in systematizing the more male the workers become and the more autistic they are as well. That is in a meritocratic and high performing economy. |

Psychiatry has noted a significant difference in traits between men and women for some time. This isn't even remotely controversial.
Quite why the broader public discussion is conducted using the, sometimes enforced, assumption that this is not the case is a bit of a mystery.

I have been insulted many times for stating it. Just because it is a Cambridge professor saying it does not make it any more right or wrong. Anyway, the map gives you real world information as it comes. It is interesting how both sexes can sometimes score way out of their normal zone. |

The male is OK with the idea of standing alone from the crowd more so than the female. I suppose a lot of people would say so what, this is all obvious stuff, but many are put on the spot and told to provide proof for their views. These are scientifically conducted surveys, and in both videos we meet the desired standards of proof. One day you might need this in an employment tribunal or down the cop shop on suspicion for saying something illegal. |

It's interesting how this relates to politics. In our data we can see there are two types of people: the ones with high empathy and low systematising thinking, and the other group are the opposite. The systematising is useful for running the country so that it works in an ordered fashion, where the empathy is used in identity politics, as per this guy understands your concerns, but the opposite guy knows how to fix your problems. In the general population you have one skill or the other. The one type is more interested in people, the other type in engineering and dealing with inanimate objects.
This was harvested from a leftwing Youtube channel comments. He's almost crying about the lack of empathy, but sees zero value in the organised thinking skills of someone who is strongly in that direction. Naturally if someone has strong systematising thinking they are going to be able to solve their own problems and avoid personal suffering.
What a terrible waste of life, wishing for the impossible eh? |
