Getting back to the subject of the thread - so we have a remain supporter, working for a pro-EU lobby group, who invents an economic model (that nobody else in the world uses) that shows that leaving the EU has been harmful to the economy....
....personally I would have had a heart attack if it didn't show that leaving the EU was harmful..

Compare our 2015 to 2022 pathetic growth with the growth in the Eurozone in same period. Brexit has buggered Britain. From tradingeconomics.com/ UKEurozone

Anyone remember Vote Leave and what they told 17 million mugs to get them to vote for Brexit? 'After we Vote Leave, British businesses will trade freely with the EU.' www.voteleavetakecontrol.org/briefing_trade.htmlWell now further evidence it was always a big fat lie 'Firms frustrated by post-Brexit trade red tape' www.bbc.co.uk/news/business-64052849We obviously can't change that deceitfully won pyrrhic Brexit but surely it's time we started punishing the guilty.

If we had remained in the EU we would have been required to comply with their legislation. Tell me something. Why do you feel a constant need to make a complete and total utter clown of your self. You have just been told. Even if Brexit hadn’t happened, the UK would still have been entitled, under EU law, to opt out of the joint system and “go it alone” with the Covid vaccine. So how does that translate to you other wise and your drivel about 24 languages But that aside what has all this fanny to do with and I repeat verbatim. Latest figures show that between April and June, the UK’s economic output fell by 5.5% and was £33 billion lower than if it was still part of the EU – resulting in around £12 billion in lost tax revenues. To put it another way. That figure was similar to November 2019. But the other way about. A gain of £12 billion in tax. It makes it clear that UK business just find it to expensive to do trade with the EU. Simply put. They no longer bother. Meanwhile in the EU exports of goods to the rest of the world in April 2022 was €223.9 billion, an increase of 12.6% compared with April 2021 (€198.8 bn). Oh dear as the apologist rant the EU is falling to bits. As the sunny uplands are just over the hill. All that is needed is new wall paper in Number 10.

Twice the Uk had the highest death rate per 100,000. Further fact Malta has 252.69 vaccines per 100 amd the UK 223.82 per hundred. Not even close as of August 4th 2022. And what has this to do with the economy as you once again wander of into the blue and beyond. What has your nonsense to do with the OP www.statista.com/statistics/1196071/covid-19-vaccination-rate-in-europe-by-country/

Well so many billions and jobs were squandered on a virus only slightly more virulent than normal flu and really only to those with existing conditions or in a care home.
So when we should have been focused on re-building the economy we were instead forced into lock-downs for the best part of two years.
Now the world govt in waiting (NATO to some) is acting as a world policemen and insisting we all buy expensive fuel which is now causing a big inflationary hike and then worker strikes to offset cost of living rises.

Its a yes and a no. Flu virus in England and Wales kill around 25,000 a year. Covid which I understand, is basically a flue kills 190,000. The difference being covid has a vaccine. Which has absolutely nothing to do with the thread. Covid is being paid for by QE. In terms of gas. The UK is only relient on 4% of gas from Russia. The problem was brought about by the wankers in Westminster. One of Ms Truss’ first acts as Chief Secretary to the Treasury in 2017, after cost and safety concerns were raised after the Rough natural gas storage facility off the coast of East Yorkshire was closed. . The UK’s stores now hold enough gas to meet the demand of four to five winter days, or just 1% of Europe’s total available storage. The Netherlands has capacity more than nine times the UK’s, while Germany’s is 16 times the size. Not only is she responsible for the present £60 billion black hole. But the energy and cost of living crisis. The Rough storage facility, owned by Centrica, the parent company of British Gas, provided 70% of the UK gas storage capacity for more than 30 years before it shut in 2017 following a government decision not to subsidise the costly maintenance and upgrades needed to keep the site going. Now as the WEstminster wankers insist it is a collective responsibility. It is all down to them. Apart from the fact you really would need to be a clown to fall for the drivel, all the ails are the fault of Covid and Putin. www.theguardian.com/business/2021/sep/24/how-uk-energy-policies-have-left-britain-exposed-to-winter-gas-price-hikes

Comparing GDP growth since Brexit. The guy from the EU lobby group thinks we have 5.5% lower GDP than we otherwise would be had we stayed in the EU. Now he may be correct - but somehow I'm struggling to believe that if we were still in the EU we would have grown twice as fast as Germany.. Pity this massive growth rate didn't materialise for the 40 years when we were actually in the EU..

Yeh like you were struggling to understand the Money that could not be accounted for from Ferguson marine before it was Nationalised in 2019. And the reason the UK did not grow twice as fast as Germany is very simple. Some 80% of the UK economy is servicing and banking. That is not trade. And why there is a deficit. That is why the Likes of Germany do 4 times as much trade with the likes of China than the UK. . The UK now a minnow in a sea of sharks. Is not going to. The UK has the slowest growth in the G7. The only one worst. Russia www.igd.com/articles/article-viewer/t/uk-to-have-slowest-growth-in-the-g7/i/29959

Just more Brexshittery ^ Malta (an EU country) always outpaced the UK in vaccinating. So did Gibraltar. The reason is it is a smaller country needs less layers of bureaucracy. It was a pretty consistent pattern.
