I'm struggling to remember if I have ever heard anyone suggest that a man should be placed in a womens prison whatever crime he has committed. It's a novel idea but I'd suggest it would generate about as much public support in Scotland as Ms Sturgeons latest idea.

Under the proposed legislation a male criminal can simply declare they are a woman so as to spend their sentence in with the women and then when they get out change it back again.

And just for your info.  The number of inmates in England and Wales who identify as transgender rose 21 per cent in the period from 163 in 2019 to 197 in 2021. . From HM government. There were 197 transgender prisoners on 30 April 2021, an increase from 163 in 2019. This partly reflects improvements in the data collection, although we know these data are still an undercount. In particular there was an increase in the proportion of transgender prisoners from Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic backgrounds. I will leave the comedians to correct it.
