It’s only since the failure of immigration control that ex remainers have locked into it . In the first couple of years after Brexit many ex remainers concentrated on our inability to find find satisfactory trade deals with and beyond the EU. I often pointed out that the main reason that so many wanted Brexit was due to the flood of East Europeans into the UK but it was mostly disputed by whining Remainers. I have never understood why fundamentalist Brexiteers and faragistes in general got so aereated by the presence of Eastern Europeans but appeared to be completely relaxed about the presence of several times as many subcontinentals, Africans, Orientals and sundry millions of others.
It obviously wasn't the numbers getting them excited, so what was it?

Who is relaxed?. On practically every issue people complain about the numbers of migrants. What is not an issue (except to certain people) is the idea that some barely educated doofus from the EU is a better migrant than a Indian with a PhD in Computer Science. Immigration based on qualifications and not the colour of your skin is the only way to grow the economy.

I don't like bullying. Not only is it against the forum rules, but it also makes the perpetrator(s) cowards who need to be called out. Can I assume from your reply that you are OK with the bullying on here? Bullying my arse...That's a bit rich from someone who like to refer to others as retards..

East Europeans created insular communities within communities just as many Asian migrants did. Ex remainers just can’t help themselves . They have to try to squeeze in a racist factor in Brexit.

Because at that point the transformations that had been happening slowly took off at a rapid rate. There was a clear disparity in that whole communities could suddenly insert themselves into the country almost overnight and create separate communities almost total in their insularity. Up till then there had been much interaction on the fringes of communities. Then of course the doors opened and all hell broke loose.

But during the period in question, between Eastern Europeans first appearing in 2004 and the census in 2011, there were still many more non-EU arrivals than free-movement arrivals from the EU.
I don't recall any angst about that on the part of the Leave faction.

What Farage actually said was: "What I would like is us to return to post-war normality. For about 60 years, we had net migration into Britain between 30,000 and 50,000 people a year. If we return to that, it will become a non-issue.""And the effect of what I am proposing, a points system - call it the Australian one, or whatever you like - actually more black people would qualify to come in under that than currently do."Seems perfectly sensible to me.. a colour blind immigration system, can't understand why the OP would be against that. It's a white power fascist's alt-account? After all, it's clearly odious and full of hate, as seem by its hatred toward those who believe Israel has the right to defend itself.

I don't recall any angst about that on the part of the Leave faction. That’s probably because you wasn’t looking ,the subject never came up or the leave campaign were aware that to mention it would cause a cacophony of screams shouting ‘ white racists”. The East Europeans came in through our membership of the EU. Afaik our membership of the EU was not the cause of non EU immigration.
