I've just been watching some Douglas Murray, the guy's a legend. There are few people I enjoy listening to as much as Douglas Murray becausae he speaks common sense. Ive watched his videos and he gets to the nub of things, and exposes bad thinking.
Bad thinking is not the right word, that people obscure reality, the truth, for a number of reasons, mostly because they are damaged. Take socialism for example, that any critique of such will be met with aggression, hatred, etc, and that the naked facts will not be assimilated.
Many mental defence mechanisms will be used, all of them protect the ego, that to reform views will be too painful.
I notice you mention Dawkins red, an unfortunate choice, no im not discussing it.
