It seems to bear out other impressions of sleaze and corruption at the heart of the New Labour establishment, mocking Mr Blair's remark in 1997, just as he took office for the first time: "We have got to be whiter than white to rebuild trust".
Irish Times You would need to provide positive proof of Blair making that statement as claimed by that Newspaper. Blair was on board a plane when he heard of the death of Dr. Kelly, during the discussion that followed the news Blair said "we need to be whiter than white on this". That is the comment that the nasties turned into distorted Right-wing propaganda as used against Blair. |

It seems that you have a problem with comprehension, not surprisingly I suppose. I have clearly sent at least one post to you that stated that I could never have voted for Corbyn or Thatcher. Both of them are too extremist in their views for me. It is clear that you just connect silly ideas together in your mind in an attempt to look as if you know what you are posting about. The fact that you disagree with Corbyn and Thatcher does not make either of them extremists. It is a perversion of the very meaning of the word to describe them thus. And do point out the extremism in Labour's 2017 manifesto, which was actually a far more moderate set of policies than some of the shite Blair did! Hmm, neither Thatcher or Corbyn were extremists even though they were miles apart in their political ideologies. Just another example of your stunted logic. You are now trying to make Thatcher look like she was not an extremist after using her to insult moderates on the center left of politics. You clearly do not have a clue about politics other than what exists in your very un-moderate political box. |

Exactly that,the man is a complete **** we just went around the nice way of saying it. Indeed. Let us be quite brutally clear about the immoral mercenary nature of the man. He gave political advice in return for lucrative payment to the brutal dictator of Uzbekistan known to have had political enemies boiled alive. Most of us would draw the line at taking payment from such a man. But not Blair. I guess see 2 will be along shortly either to deny it happened or to sugar coat it in some way.
